Agreed. It’s in the best interest of the federal agents....

I know a state legislator who’s going to introduce this bill in his state. It’ll be a lot stronger.

“threatening to jail federal agents attempting to confiscate guns, ammunition magazines or ammunition.”

They can do it too:

“Section 241 of Title 18 is the civil rights conspiracy statute. Section 241 makes it unlawful for two or more persons to agree together to injure, threaten, or intimidate a person in any state, territory or district in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him/her by the Constitution or the laws of the Unites States, (or because of his/her having exercised the same). Unlike most conspiracy statutes, Section 241 does not require that one of the conspirators commit an overt act prior to the conspiracy becoming a crime.

The offense is punishable by a range of imprisonment up to a life term or the death penalty, depending upon the circumstances of the crime, and the resulting injury, if any.”

Bravo1 Everyone in red states should demand their state enact such bills! In NJ it is a waste of time, But those in blue, gun-grabbing states can move to the second Amendment states, form a new union and leave the gun-grabbing states to rot.

Nullification of unConstitutional laws. Yes. Secession to protect an institution like slavery. No.

We still need to work at the federal level to overturn laws infringing on the rights of blue state Americans to defend themselves. Their needs to be more of these cases brought before the Supreme Court.

This is an introduction of a bill. It means nothing.

I disagree, it does mean something. It is better than remaining silent. All conservative States need to take a stand now with similar introductions!

And that bow shooter was full-on crazy train. Aspberger’s Syndrome.

Read his screed. Don't blame the Aspberger's...it was the disease of liberalism.

Just that it is being introduced is something. It is a start. What would be your solution? Griping on the internet?

We should celebrate when it passes. No one knows the legal path beyond that point.

I read his screed.

Whether and what I blame is of no consequence.

The perp blamed the Aspberger’s. HE killed because he thought his father should not have reproduced while knowing he (his father) knew that it was possible that his children might have it.

You can claim that it was ‘liberalism’, but that’s not what the perp thought it was.

Read it again. He blamed the freedom of the American system as compared to the "discipline" of the Chinese. He thought is father should have been forced by the government not to reproduce.

The perp's "thoughts" didn't get there by themselves....he obviously learned a lot of America hating from somewhere.

Some have called for armed insurrection or revolt - maybe even a McVeigh kind of thing.

This from WY is much better.

A possible, though not plausible scenario:

1. The Governor arrests several Federal agents which would put the fear of God into Federal agents across the state effectively shutting down any new regs.

2. The Feds sue and it goes to the Courts which could take a long time. Eventually the Courts will rule that the state can’t do the arresting.

3. THAT’s when a strong Governor comes into play. This imaginary Gov. then says, “Then bring your Army and stop me.”

4. When the Feds raid the home of a duly-elected Governor and drag him into the streets — then we have the real crisis that we need. The public does not want to see that, I don’t think.

After that, the Feds won’t have much support and that’s when we push them out of the way and get the restrictions removed. No blood spilt.

Would never happen though.
