After the shootings at Stockton School yard, the news media tried to show how evil and deadly the AK was, so they shot a watermelon. It did not explode. They tried and tried, and the melons would not explode.
They then used a different firearm with a special bullet designed to blow apart and made the melon explode.
So, on the nightly news we saw an AK fired at a melon, then a cut to the exploding melon hit with a different round, and cries to ban them.
Great shades of exploding gas tanks! You'd think they would learn about manufacturing "proof", but I guess you'd be wrong.
