>>Lew took umbrage at USA Todays contention in an opposing column there. Included in his collection of laughable claims were these howlers: Social Security does not cause our deficits, and Social Security benefits are entirely self-financing.
That was too much for Washington Post syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer, who flung verbiage from Clinton-era reports issued by Lews own OMB back in his face:
listen to the OMBs own explanation (in the Clinton administration budget for fiscal 2000 under then-Director Jack Lew, the very same). The OMB explained that these trust fund balances are nothing more than a bookkeeping device. They do not consist of real economic assets that can be drawn down in the future to fund benefits.
In other words, the Social Security trust fund contains nothing.<<
I just love when Krauthammer does stuff like this.
History to a Cloward-Piven-Lew idiot is last Sunday’s NYT.

"Bernie from Butner assured me, and Nancy, that he is gonna make it happen.
I'm personally cutting a blank Treasury check to Bernie."
" Heck, Bernie's got a tried-and-true formula----he can turn billions into trillions."
