In a World without God, Meaning, Purpose and Accountability, Why not Lie, Cheat, Plunder, and Kill?

"We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves..." Isaiah 28:15

There is nothing new under the sun. From the beginning men have been rebelling against the true God and taking refuge in lies:

"Now it was Nimrod who excited them to such an affront and contempt of God." He "changed the government into tyranny" in order to turn them away from God and make them dependent upon his own power. He also would be revenged upon God "if he should have a mind to drown the world again; for that he would build a tower too high for the waters to be able to reach!" And he would "avenge himself on God for destroying their forefathers." (Jewish historian Josephus cited by Dr. David Livingston, "Who was Nimrod?")

Since the dawn of time rebels against God have been making lies and deception their refuge:

"We have to use any ruse, dodge, trick, cunning, unlawful method, concealment, and veiling of the truth." V.I. Lenin, God-hating evolutionist, mass-murderer, and progressive liberal anti-hero. (The Marxist Goliath Among Us, Ronald J. Lawrence, p. 28)

"I suppose the reason we leaped at the origin of species was because the idea of God interfered with our sexual mores," confessed Sir Julian Huxley, former president of UNESCO and grandson of Darwin's colleague Thomas Huxley. (Henry M. Morris, The Troubled Waters of Evolution, Creation-Life Publishers, 1974, p. 58)

Of Darwin's theory that everything ascended (evolved) upward out of self-generated genderless matter, the great Christian theologian Charles Spurgeon pointedly observed,

"There is not a hair of truth upon this dog from its head to its tail, but it rends and tears the simple ones. In all its bearing upon scriptural truth, the evolution theory is in direct opposition to it. If God's Word be true, evolution is a lie." (Spurgeon, Hideous Discovery, July 25, 1886)

Evolutionist Suzan Mazur seems to agree with Spurgeon. In her book, "The Altenberg 16: An Expose of the Evolution Industry" she looks at the rivalry in contemporary natural science surrounding attempts to discover the elusive process of evolution. Her book openly acknowledges the unresolvable problems surrounding evolution and natural selection and documents these concerns with statements from leading evolutionary scientists. Mazur comments:

"A wave of scientists now questions natural selection's role, though fewer will publicly admit it." (p. 20, "Desperate attempts to discover 'the elusive process of evolution,' reviewed by Walter J. ReMine, Creation Ministries International)

She describes evolutionary science as a modern day quest for the Holy Grail that is very much about posturing, salesmanship, stonewalling and bullying. It is a social discourse involving hypotheses of staggering complexity,

"...with scientists, recipients of the biggest grants of any intellectuals, assuming the power of politicians while engaged in Animal House pie-throwing and name-calling..." (ibid)

Evolution books are hyped like snake oil at a carnival:

"Perhaps the most egregious display of commercial dishonesty is this year's celebration of Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species, the so-called theory of evolution by natural selection, i.e., survival of the fittest, a brand foisted on us 150 years ago." (ibid)

Mazur admits that genes and natural selection have little to do with long-term changes in populations. Here she not only calls attention to the existing censorship against non-Darwinian ideas but tells us why it happens:

"The commercial media is both ignorant of and blocks coverage of stories about non-centrality of the gene because its science advertising dollars come from the gene-centered Darwin industry. At the same time, the Darwin industry is also in bed with government, even as political leaders remain clueless about evolution. Thus, the public is unaware that its dollars are being squandered on funding of mediocre, middlebrow science or that its children are being intellectually starved as a result of outdated texts and unenlightened teachers." (Mazur, p. ix, ibid)

Today vast numbers of spiritually blind Westerners and Americans are entangled and increasingly isolated within a massive and still growing web of delusion, and evolution said C.S. Lewis,

"...is the central and radical lie in the whole web of falsehood that now governs our lives..." (Letter to Bernard Acworth, Spt. 13, 1951)

In his masterpiece, "Ideas Have Consequences," early intellectual conservative Richard Weaver traced the web's first threads to the late 14th century when Western man made an "evil decision" to abandon his belief in transcendent, unchanging "universals" and thus the position that "there is a source of truth higher than, and independent of man..." The consequences of this revolution were catastrophic:

"The denial of everything transcending experience means inevitably...the denial of truth. With the denial of objective truth there is no escape from the relativism of 'man is the measure of all things." (The Conservative Intellectual Movement in America, George H. Nash, pp. 30-33)

Corruption and delusion rapidly spread and deepened, the web expanded and the downward spiral continued:

The living, supernatural God was conceptually murdered, heaven shut-down and nature and the physical world of the senses elevated to the supreme reality. The doctrine of original sin was abandoned and replaced by the 'goodness of man' and the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo dehistoricized and replaced with evolutionary cosmogonies claiming spontaneous generation and vast ages of time. As supernatural Christianity declined, rationalism and then Protestant Liberalism (pantheism) arose and materialist evolutionary science became the most prestigious way to study man. With knowledge limited to the sensory realm, Jesus Christ the Word Incarnate was reduced to an immanent mystical evolutionary force or Christ consciousness within nature while man's spiritual attributes — soul/spirit (mind, conscience and will) — were soon lost in an endless cycle of reductionism and determinism. Man, created in the spiritual likeness of his supernatural Creator would be lost. In his place would stand the soulless hominid, an accidental emergent product of spontaneously-generated mystical matter and evolutionary forces:

"Marxist philosophical materialism remains beyond all doubt that at some time or other in the remote past, life must have arisen from non-living matter." (Outline of Dialectical Materialism, 1948, p. 494)

Spontaneously generated dead matter not only thinks but is divine:

"...matter itself continually attains to higher perfection under its own power, thanks to indwelling dialectic...the dialectical materialists attribution of 'dialectic' to matter confers on it, not mental attributes only, but even divine ones." (Dialectical Materialism, Gustav A. Wetter, 1977, p. 58)

In "Socialism and Religious Beliefs," Enrico Ferri (1856-1926), a prominent socialist of his day and editor of Avanti, a socialist daily, confesses that Darwinism is fundamental to socialism and further reveals that natural causality or determining forces substitute for miracles and divinity:

"....modern positive science...has substituted the conception of natural causality for the conception of miracles and divinity....I add that not only is Darwinism not contrary to socialism, but that it forms one of its fundamental scientific premises. As Virchow justly remarked, socialism is nothing else than the logical and vital outcome partly of Darwinism and partly of Spencerian evolution." (www.marxists.org/archive/ferri/1894/religion.htm)

Darwinism has destroyed the foundations of supernatural Christianity and man's soul/spirit:

"Darwinism came at the desired time; Darwin's theory that man is the descendant of a lower animal destroyed the entire foundation of Christian dogma." (Anton Pannekoek, "Marxism and Darwinism," translated by Nathan Weiser. Transcribed for the Internet by Jon Muller, Chicago, Charles H. Kerr & Company Co-operative Copyright, 1912 by Charles H. Kerr & Company)

For many long years, thoughtful, concerned people have been pointing to the connections between Darwin's evolutionary theory and the spreading epidemic of narcissism, moral insanity, hatred, despair, paranoia, disordered thinking, dark fantasies, psychosis and other spiritual pathologies together with the breakup of the family, the abortion of 60,000,000+ unborn, the subversion and perversion of children, and the relentlessly rising tide of psychiatric drug and porn use, crime, decadence, homicide and suicide in the 'evolutionized' West.

If Darwin was right, man is nothing more than a soulless bag of chemicals or equally soulless hominid and there is no ultimate fixed meaning or higher purpose to life except what we choose:

" You are born, you suffer, you die — that's it. Perhaps, if you're lucky, you may get recycled as organic manure — but beyond that, you're just a number that happened to come up in the great casino of the universe." (Darwin, Spurgeon and the 'black dog,' Carl Wieland, Creation.com)

Wieland points out that even where Darwin is denied,

".....but 'millions of years' ideas are proclaimed, hopelessness finds foothold. Any 'god' who condoned millions of years of death, cruelty, disease and bloodshed, certainly cannot be the personal, biblical God of love. And if the Bible got it so obviously wrong about the timing of creation as to mislead hundreds of millions of Christians until the present day, how can we really trust it about our eternal future? John 3:12 (ibid)

Darwinian theory as 'evolutionary fact' has finally reached saturation point in government, law, media, education, healthcare, psychiatry, the public arena and increasingly within the whole body of the Church, which is why pathological lying, nihilism, atheism, agnosticism, occult paganism, suicide, lawlessness, mass murder, decadence, abortion, and euthanasia have increased exponentially throughout America and the world.

All of this makes a devilish kind of sense if the true God does not exist and life has no higher, fixed meaning or purpose since nature magically created itself. If man is just a bag of chemicals destined to be recycled as fertilizer, with neither hope of an afterlife nor any accountability to his Maker for his actions here in this world then why not commit suicide? Why not sexually pervert children, cheat on and maybe even murder your spouse, gun down children, toss unwanted babies into trash bins, and use the force of perverted, meaningless law to vandalize and plunder the property and wealth of others? Why not redefine sodomy, pedophilia, pederasty, bestiality and lesbianism as 'gay' and then marry 'gay' couples in Washington's National Cathedral? (Washington National Cathedral to Wed Same-Sex Couples, Ben Brumfield, CNN, Jan. 9, 2013)

If you are Obama and his Luciferian-Alinsky-minded henchmen, why not trash the Constitution, throw open the borders, divide Americans against each other, disarm Americans and enable jihadi terrorists to work their evil here?

If man is nothing but a soulless bag of chemicals then why not contend — as the powerful pharmaceutical industry and its partisans within the American Psychiatric Association maintain — that dangerous psychotropic drugs are necessary for the control of America's 'epidemic' of mental illnesses caused by bad genes and chemical imbalances? Even though the bag of chemicals is said to have no mind (spirit), since truth no longer exists why not call genetic and chemical disorders 'mental illnesses' in order to justify psychotropic substances despite that known adverse reactions associated with them include insomnia, anxiety, agitation, confusion, amnesia, depression, paranoid reaction, psychosis, hostility, delirium, hallucinations, abnormal thinking, depersonalization, lack of emotion, and mania — a dangerous and violence-prone mental derangement characterized by extreme excitement, delusion, and voices speaking into one's mind.

On the link between certain widely prescribed psychotropic drugs, suicide and homicidal violence, Dr. David Healy, a British psychiatrist and author of "Pharmageddon," said in November of 2012:

"Violence and other potentially criminal behavior caused by prescription drugs are medicines best kept secret..." (Prescription-Drug-Induced Violence Medicine's Best Kept Secret? Toronto, Canada (PRWEB) November 12, 2012)

Healy says this is a global issue, with medical, legal, ethical, and profound public policy dimensions:

"Never before in the fields of medicine and law have there been so many events with so much concealed data and so little focused expertise." (ibid)

One of the leading voices against the 'mental illness' known as ADHD is Dr. Fred Baughman, a pediatric neurologist. Baughman comments,

"(ADHD) is a contrived epidemic, where all 5 million to 6 million children on these drugs are normal. The country's been led to believe that all painful emotions are a mental illness and the leadership of the APA knows very well that they are representing (ADHD) as a disease when there is no scientific data to confirm any mental illness." ("Drugging Them Up," Ch. 2, IndoctriNation, p. 47)

Dr. Peter Breggin, psychiatrist and author of 'Talking Back to Prozac" concurs. Not only does ADHD not exist but,

"...there is great deal of evidence that stimulants cause brain damage with long term use." (ibid, p. 47)

Dr. Bruce Shortt agrees and observes that the prescribing of behavior modifying substances is probably the largest,

"...uncontrolled drug experiment in the history of the world....drugs are being given to children...especially little boys." (ibid, p. 41)

Shortt adds that Ritalin, Adderall, Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil and other psychotropic drugs are,

"...being used to drug schoolchildren at rates that are difficult to comprehend...The Drug Enforcement Administration has estimated that 8 million children and adults were on Ritalin in 2000. Prescriptions for Ritalin increased by 700 percent from 1990 to 2001." (ibid, p. 42)

But if humans are just evolved bags of chemicals destined to be recycled as fertilizer then why not use them for drug experiments, especially as it is so profitable? And if you happen to be among the West's financial criminal elite then why not plunder the wealth and resources of unsuspecting Western and American tax-slave hominids while offering them socialism, drugs, poverty, misery and Darwinism in return?

In an impeccably researched essay, "Ascendancy of a Financial Criminal Elite," Prof. James Petras details the rise of a criminal consortium which he describes as the super wealthy of America and Europe:

.....the super-wealthy and their families have as much as $32 trillion (USD) of hidden assets in offshore tax havens, representing up to $280 billion in lost income tax revenue! This study excluded such non-financial assets as real estate, precious metals, jewels, yachts, race horses, luxury vehicles and so on. Of the $32 trillion in hidden assets, $23 trillion is held by the super-rich of North America and Europe." (Globalresearch.ca/the-ascendancy-of-a-criminal-financial-elite)

The super wealthy are mainly global corporatists and bankers:

"England's leading banks, including Barclay's and a host of others, have been identified as having rigged the LIBOR, or inter-bank lending rate, for years in order to maximize profits. The Bank of New York, JP Morgan, HSBC, Wachovia and Citibank are among scores of banks, which have been charged with laundering drug money and other illicit funds according to investigations from the US Senate Banking Committees. Multi-national corporations receive federal bailout funds and tax exemptions and then, in violation of publicized agreements with the government, relocate plants and jobs in Asia and Mexico." (ibid)

If the living God does not exist and man does not have to account to Him for his actions here in this world then why not, as Donald Kaul suggests, repeal the Second Amendment and declare the NRA,

".... a terrorist organization and make membership illegal.... (I would also raze the organization's headquarters, clear the rubble and salt the earth, but that's optional.) Make ownership of unlicensed assault rifles a felony. If some people refused to give up their guns, that "prying the guns from their cold, dead hands" thing works for me."(Des Moines Register publishes gun-ban column advocating deadly violence against NRA, GOP leaders, Tim Graham, foxnews.com, Jan. 2, 2013)

Tim Graham points out that the so-called "news" media,

"...love to blame conservatives for the declining civility of our democratic discourse, but the hateful venom spewed by supposedly enlightened liberals like Kaul is as vicious as it gets. Publishing death threats is bad enough, but doing so in the name of promoting a more peaceful, compassionate society is beyond sick. But this clown will probably never realize the absurdity of his argument." (ibid)

But why not blame Conservatives and use deadly force against the NRA? Why not,

"...tie Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, our esteemed Republican leaders, to the back of a Chevy pickup truck and drag them around a parking lot until they saw the light on gun control." (ibid)

Self-deceived rebels against God have made a covenant with death and taken refuge in lies and falsehood. Being in agreement with hell their world is a hell-on-earth where man is a soulless bag of chemicals with neither hope of an afterlife nor any accountability to his Maker for his actions here in this world, so if a devilish rebel irrationally hates Conservatives, why not demonize them? Why not stir up hate and murderous intent against them? Why not?

"There's nothing to fear but fear itself. So why not go ahead? What's to stop you?" whispers the devil in sadistic satisfaction.

Not enough people understand what Christianity has done for civilization. If you go back 2000 years, the world was a very savage place. Sure, the Greeks had philosophy, the Romans had engineering, the Chinese had silk ... but life was brutal, nasty and short. War Lords did well. Farmers did not. Might made right.

Even today, you can look at the Middle East or Africa and see a lot of savagery among people who do not know Christ.

Now, let's be clear: Christianity does not make any man sinless and does not prevent all barbarism and savagery. But the modern world of civilized behavior is overwhelmingly a construction of the Christian culture.

Dark forces have conspired to remove Christianity from our society. This opens the door to things like Sandy Hook -- and Obama's tyranny.

Without Christ, we are lost as individuals, and society is lost as well.

I have often contemplated the tipping point at which the Godless are consumed by the world they have created, and... think that once enough of those who have turned away from God are a super majority that their very lack of restraint will destroy all men. What I mean is that while there is still a relative balance between those who ascribe to God and those who deny or live as they want the society will continue to be as we see today - relatively safe in areas split but in areas already past the tipping point, dangerous for everyone.

The restraint of mans passions, by God and by the examples from Bible to give order to mankind in his personal relationships has been successful; when not followed as a psychological, sociological, and legal guide societies fall into the abyss of unrestrained passions.

The failure of men to limit their own desires under the guise of personal freedoms soon becomes dictatorial as they demand all others give up their previous freedoms to make room for their own.

This is the tipping point, along with lawlessness and personal irresponsibility that destroy society(s).

Once they achieve more than a legal majority, and once they become a super majority devoid of empathy and full of desire, or passions unrestrained the entire group of people are at risk from new self inflicted woe.

If, for instance, to take an extreme case, men were reared under precisely the same conditions as hive-bees, there can hardly be a doubt that our unmarried females would, like the worker-bees, think it a sacred duty to kill their brothers, and mothers would strive to kill their fertile daughters; and no one would think of interfering.

To natural selection killing your siblings and offspring is all the same as loving them. Selection only favors what works to enhance survival and reproduction, and it does not matter if it is nice and moral, or harsh and brutal.
- Charles Darwin, Descent of Man, and Selection in Regard to Sex

---------------------

The time has come to take seriously the fact that we humans are modified monkeys, not the favored Creation of a Benevolent God on the Sixth Day. In particular, we must recognize our biological past in trying to understand our interactions with others. We must think again especially about our so-called “ethical principles.” The question is not whether biology—specifically, our evolution—is connected with ethics, but how. As evolutionists, we see that no [ethical] justification of the traditional kind is possible.

Morality, or more strictly our belief in morality, is merely an adaptation put in place to further our reproductive ends. Hence the basis of ethics does not lie in God’s will…. In an important sense, ethics as we understand it is an illusion fobbed off on us by our genes to get us to cooperate. It is without external grounding. Like Macbeth’s dagger, it serves a powerful purpose without existing in substance.

Ethics is illusory inasmuch as it persuades us that it has an objective reference. This is the crux of the biological position. Once it is grasped, everything falls into place.
- Michael Ruse and E. O. Wilson, The Evolution of Ethics

---------------------

In a universe of blind physical forces and genetic replication, some people are going to get hurt, other people are going to get lucky, and you won’t find any rhyme or reason in it, nor any justice. The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind pitiless indifference.
- Richard Dawkins, River Out of Eden: A Darwinian View of Life

---------------------

Naturalistic evolution has clear consequences that Charles Darwin understood perfectly.
1) No gods worth having exist.
2) No life after death exists.
3) No ultimate foundation for ethics exists.
4) No ultimate meaning in life exists.
5) Human free will is nonexistent.
- William Provine (from Darwin Day speech)

I like the overall premise: fighting intellectalism with intellectualism (though that’s a lost cause with the left). Evolution has too many flaws and is actually now an “old and outdated” concept; Creationism is the new trend once again. Using the liberals own tricks against them. I like it! ...lol

…atheism isn't exempt from analysis or critique of its real world consequences. Atheism is a metaphysical stance -- there are no gods and no God, there is no intrinsic purpose to existence, there is no natural moral law, there is no accountability in an afterlife. Those are quite explicit and consequential assertions, just as the negation of those assertions -- that there is a God, that there is a purpose to existence... -- is an explicit and consequential assertion. Atheism lacks liturgy. It does not lack beliefs and consequences. It lacks belief in God; it does not lack belief in the intrinsic consequences of God's non-existence. As Nietzsche emphatically noted, if God is dead, everything changes.

This article leaves the reader to mistakenly conflate two ideas.

The author starts by giving a little bit of background on Nimrod (the "Rebel"...like Alinsky's Lucifer) who was "anti-God" (perhaps a Nephilim or offspring of Fallen Angels). He didn't doubt God's existence. He rebelled against God and sided with his forefathers in their allegiance to Satan, Shaytan, Shemyaza, Lucifer (or whatever his name).

Point is...that sect has a god it serves, albeit a god of perversion and evil.

Darwinism and secular humanism are an entirely different sect in not just rebelling against God but declaring that he doesn't even exist. It appears that the secular-humanists are the useful idiots of the Luciferians in a manner similar to how the Marxists in the present world are useful idiots for Islam and Allah.

I don’t believe there is no world without God, just people that do or don’t believe it.

When people want to do something bad enough, they do it. Consequences from their actions, either before death or after death, really don’t factor in much.

We are born equal, but right after that we’re not, we start to change as individuals, some people are good and some people are bad. Simple as that.

As one that was, for lack of better description, ‘born without a conscience’, Here are my reasons, to your ‘why not lie, cheat, plunder, kill’:
1. lie: YOU DON’T HAVE TO REMEMBER WHAT YOU SAID YESTERDAY, AND ATTEMPT TO KEEP IT STRAIGHT, TODAY.

2. CHEAT: There’s is always that nagging self-doubt, that maybe you could have made that ‘thing’ on your own, if you had just waited a little longer.
2a. Spousal cheat: it happens, even inside churches and synagogues (mohammedans, in all their get-outs, are just too gay for me to think they even do something man and woman-ish). Take care of your partner, get rid of any self-doubt - which AIN’T easy, and you’ll ‘stay in the yard’.
3. Plunder: could be possessions, money, image, ideas, lifestyle, honor, business ‘things’, need I go on? There is that stupid game, these days, called ‘getting even’. There is another stupid game called ‘non-harmful revenge’. This is similar to a lot of things, that once you start, you can’t quite seem to quit. Divorce is legalized plunder. Busainess lawsuits are legalized plunder. One-on-one, usually ends up with your last ‘why’;
4. Kill: Personal killings, outside of military duty, or law enforcement actions, are acts chosen, even in passion. People forget that they will live with that in their minds for the rest of their lives. Even for those that end up having to defend themselves against attackers, it does not go away. The question arises, “What will I gain from this?” If I do not, why do it? Even in the perception of ‘gain’, comes “for how long?” If there is any self-doubt, or any more questions, then it is something left undone and avoided, for it is not for you to do.

There are no questions of defending hearth and home and family, nor none to be asked, when threatend.

There those that live without a conscience, but still ‘know’ that there are things and actions to be left alone, or left to the actions of others.

Lastly, somewhere I had heard that it was written, that though ‘they’ lived faraway, in another place and time, the ‘seed’ of what is right and good, was still planted in ‘them’. I was born of amoral parents. It took me a little bit longer than some, going through the pinball machine called life, to be able to explain , or at least a hope that I have done so, answers to your questions.

Like Nimrod, early revolutionaries like Marx did not doubt God’s existence either. This is why Marx and similar thinking revolutionaries chose to call themselves antitheists rather than atheists. They knew that God exists but set their wills against Him and forbidding the asking of questions, required blind submission in all things. In obedience, the ‘new’ Marxist, Soviet, Darwinian, secular humanist man asks no questions and by way of destructive criticism, ridicule, scorn, etc. permits no one else to ask them either.

Whereas Nimrod’s sect served a deity of evil (Satan, Shaytan, Shemyaza, Lucifer) early antitheists did as well. From Marx to Saul Alinsky, they acknowledged Lucifer as the first free-thinker, the one who liberated man from the ‘evil’ God of creation, the god in whose genetic image they are made, the god of evolution, and so on.

Discussion of this subject causes a new term to pop into mind...

"Fabian antitheism" -- The gradual process of indoctrination in which believers are moved first to non-belief and then slowly to belief in the god of evil.

Very interesting article; thank you.

I’m always amazed at how many Christians believe evolution and Christianity can exist side-by-side and somehow complement the other. A study of Scripture clearly shows that evolution contradicts the word of God.

Personally, I think some folks are afraid of being thought of as backward hillbillies if they don’t give the nod to evolution.....it’s easier to give in and go along.

Dostoevsky wrote about this in Crime and Punishment.
Great novel.

Thank you so much for your wonderful essay, dear spirited irish!

Truly, this country - and the world generally - is suffering from a diseased spirit. But it shall not last.

Thank-you and the same holds for you:

“”Fabian antitheism” — The gradual process of indoctrination in which believers are moved first to non-belief and then slowly to belief in the god of evil.”

How very true!

“What I mean is that while there is still a relative balance between those who ascribe to God and those who deny or live as they want the society will continue to be as we see today - relatively safe in areas split but in areas already past the tipping point, dangerous for everyone.”

Spirited: Creeping moral decay serves the same purpose as heresy, that is, a thresher separating the chaff from the wheat until finally, the tipping point is reached when the unrighteous far outnumber the righteous.

At that time it will be as you said, the Godless will consume each other and the society they’ve created.

“And under falsehood have we hid ourselves” - that describes the last two elections perfectly.

“I think some folks are afraid of being thought of as backward hillbillies if they don’t give the nod to evolution.....it’s easier to give in and go along.”

Spirited: Agreed. I find myself continually amazed and at the same time dismayed by how easily many theologians so easily accept evolution. Evolutionary thinking has captured and continues to capture theologians beginning with Protestant Liberals and then on to Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox and Evangelical.

It seems they fear man more than our Lord.

Of the Races

Blacks are the most religious,
Hispanics the 2nd,
Whites 3rd
Asians last

Now put in order which ones are more likely to Lie, Cheat, Plunder, and Kill

Thank you for the ping. Great reading! I love all of the quotes/references sprinkled throughout the essay. So pertinent and revealing.

If there is no God, then there is NO logical reason to be "good" (i.e. in the traditional sense of virtuous behavior - Ten Commandments/Golden Rule). And of course, those who have accepted the lie that there is no God, will lie, cheat, plunder and kill since they become their own 'gods' and get to define what is 'good'. All so very selfish and self-centered, rather than the self-less and other-centered creatures that we are called to be to realize our full God-created potential and meaning and be at peace in the Truth.

"You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you." ... St. Augustine

I'd hazard a guess that the crime rate among self-avowed atheists is drastically lower than the rest of the population as well.

Another issue is that religious belief is inversely related to levels of education - that is, if you have a PhD you're far, far less likely to be a believer than if you only have a HS Diploma.

Does anyone think that PhD's murder at a higher rate than High School graduates?

Ahhh. That sounds too hard. Why don’t you do it for us?

Your question doesn’t include what influence a cultural element might play in this scenario. Does your proposal include the races in a world-wide context, or merely a US context? Don’t you suppose the cultural context and the range of its cultural range might influence our judgment?

So you are saying culture and a whole bunch of other factors influnce what kind morals you have and not belief/unbelief in an invisible diety in the sky?

Yes, I agree.

I asked you a question. Do not re-state my question to reflect your view and then try to represent it as my view. You are, of course, free to answer my question or not, as it pleases your humor.
