In response to Gawker’s controversial decision to publish the names of every registered handgun owner in New York City on Tuesday afternoon, Fox’s The Five retaliated by publishing the phone number and email address of Gawker founder Nick Denton for its audience.

People need to keep digging. Google informs me that that number is the corporate number for the Gawker office at 210 Elizabeth in SoHo, already publicly available to anyone who visits Gawker.com. Ditto the email address.

It’s pretty near Little Italy. But that part of NYC - unlike Chinatown - is pretty tiny, a tourist area consisting of a couple blocks of restaurants. Don’t think the mafia hangs there.

I believe Beckel thought the Westchester newspaper was out of bounds for publishing the gun owners up there so I would assume he’d take the same position here.
