American Thinker ^ | January 9, 2013 | NA

Mom shot 6 time ex-convict intruder with all the bullets of her 38, yet he was still able to get up after she ran out of bullets. What if it was more than one intruder? Maybe limiting ammunition capacity is actually better for the criminals and not their victims after all...

Actually there is a buck and ball ,410 shotgun round. One large ball and bunch of pellets can ruin your day. Some have three large balls and a bunch of pellets too.

Exactly what I have been thinking all along. Police Officers had to start carrying different weapons, because the criminals were out gunning them.

So it is with the civilian population. With all the gangs operating the way they do these days, there is no way that a simple hand gun is sufficient self defense.

5 out of 6 connected, but he ran off, drove away and crashed. Cops caught him and arrested him.

It would be fun to see a photo of his new face. Probably no solid hits. One dead center would have sent him to hell. He was lucky.

Good story and effective, but lets not forget about:

Benghazi, the Muslim Brotherhood’s infiltration of the WH and our military, Obama’s mysterious campaign funds, Green Engergy boondoggles and failures, the ECONOMY...

You bought the Taurus Judge I assume. I'd be very interested in any ballistic tests you do. I read a very nerdy review (good thing) of the gun using a variety of .410 rounds. I can't remember which one came out on top (I'd look for the link, but I'm on a blackberry so I really can't do much browsing).

Anyhow, hope it works for you and stay safe FRiend.

The equalizer made the difference. That's why the thugs and the dictators want their victims disarmed.

Most people don’t realize it, but the Taurus Judge really shines when you load it with hot .45 Colt loads like the ones you can get from Cor-Bon or Buffalo Bore. They turn your revolver-with-a-glandular-disorder into a pocket .45-70.

Yeha:

"Today, the traditional 405 grain (26.2 g) load is considered adequate for any North American big game within its range limitations, including the great bears, and it does not destroy edible meat on smaller animals such as deer due to the bullet's low velocity. It is very good for big game hunting in brush or heavy timber where the range is usually short. The .45-70, when loaded with the proper bullets at appropriate velocities, has been used to hunt the African "Big-5". The .45-70 has been loaded and used to harvest everything from birds to elephant and the cartridge is still undergoing new development work well over a century after its introduction."

Of course, this will not be all over the news because it is the story of lives being saved because the victim was armed.
