Connecticut legislator DebraLee Hovey, a six-term Republican state representative for the towns of Monroe and Newtown, had some candid, if ill-advised words for Gabrielle Giffords, who visited with victims of the Sandy Hook shooting on Friday. "Gabby Gifford [sic] stay out of my towns!!" Hovey wrote on her then-public Facebook, via mobile from Saint Pete Beach, Florida. "It was political," she elaborated in the comments, according to cringey screenshots obtained by the Hartford Courant.
"The Lt Gov was there […] and ALL political types KNOW it is courteous to let sitting Reps known when another political [sic] is in their District," Hovey went on. "So……. There was pure political motives." (The visit, while "low-key" and without press, was reported in advance.)
Hovey's spokesman Jamison Bazinet confirmed to Intelligencer that the statuses were indeed legitimate and have since been deleted. Hovey's profile has also been switched to private, he said. Bazinet would not comment on why the update was removed, but said Representative Hovey expects to release a statement on the matter this afternoon.

I saw Giffords appear with her husband on "Today", it was appalling to see this poor woman sit like a prop while her spouse blathered on about how they REALLY did support the Second Amendment.
What was most disgusting was when the husband said "We are gun owners." Gabby nodded in agreement. Now when was the last time you think Gabby shot a gun?
She like James Brady is uncapable of coherently representing the anti-gun movement except only in physical
infirmity. That’s all they want. Brady is an old white man (today’s Pariah) and so many younger maleable people don’t even know who his is, worse yet he was a Republican, so Giffords is being ushered in as the new “Anti-Gun Breck Girl”....simple as that. Harsh words, but true in every sense. That former NASA astronaut should be ashamed of himself - the right stuff, NOT.

After Islamic terrorists killed almost 3000 people on 911, including infants and toddlers, none of the liberals were shouting for anti-Islamic legislation. They, and most politicians of any stripe, made an enormous effort to point out that it wasn’t Islam itself that was to blame - it was just the radical few.
Now, conversely, they paint with a broad brush and blame guns and the right to bear arms, not the lone few with huge mental health issues who went off the deep end.
Hell, if I had the opportunity to keep Brother Obama’s Traveling Anti-Gun Show out of my town(s). I’d do it in a heartbeat!

Yeah. That evil Mrs. Brady pushing her shot up husband around. I guess she should have put another bullet into him to put him out of his misery.
The tale is sad..... The goofy looking Giffords has sold her soul to the antigun types for lucre. Her husband is involved and likely the one who actually signed the contract.
Her plight is sad, but selling her soul to the devil can not be excused.
According to the list from WHO (World Health Organization), the U.S. is at the bottom of the list of nations’ ratings of murders per 100,000 population; and most of those nations above the U.S. have either gun bans or strict gun laws!
I think she is being TOLD what to do by her handlers. Her brain damage from the shooting keeps her from being independent. Essentially, she is being exploited.
