These bastards won’t be happy until there is another Waco. Where a federal agency is so hyped up to grab some guns that were banned it winds up being responsible for the death of DOZENS of people including 20 kids.
Thats when the country goes, “oh okay maybe these laws are only designed to control the non-criminal in every way possible.”
I’ll be damn if the Lawyers of The United States, other wise know as the house and senate, are gonna keep me from defending myself or property. So they’re gonna start criminalizing average people again while the thugs and thieves sucking our country dry and killing it’s culture get a pass. F*ck em.

Just like the pundits saying, “If such and such happens it’s over”. It’s been over for a long time, not that I’m done fighting, but it’s over.

I want to see just one New York law maker introduce a bill that the Governor may not posses any "guns" nor may (s)he have armed guards; either private or public within 1000 meters of their position at all times. This bill would be binding and going forward even into the governors stepping down, being relieved or otherwise being done with office.

Lets see that asshole put his political capital where his mouth is.

Yep. The state makes a law that the constitution says they can’t make.

Well Cuomo better start with the mob. I understand his daddy may have mob connections. Let them surrender their guns first before they come for ours.

One overlooked aspect of the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion in Scotland is that it was a failure of gun control. After the failed rebellion of 1717, the British Government had placed restrictions on the possession of weapons on the Highlanders. But the implementation of those restrictions was largely left to the Lords and Chieftains.

Since their willingness to vigorously enforce the gun control rules of the British Government was basically inversely proportionate to their propensity to rebel against the British Government, when Bonnie Prince Charlie landed, the Lords and Chieftains loyal to the British Government found that their disarmed tenants and clansmen were in no position to resist the firearms and swords in the hands of the tenants and clansmen of the Lords and Chieftains who joined Bonnie Prince Charlie.

One doesn't expect Liberal Democrats to have ever read any real history, but I'm a bit surprised that the Jesuits at Fordham didn't drum a bit of it into Cuomo's head.

Sorry for you New Yorkers, but I almost hope they pull this off, first so they can draw criminals from other states, and second to show how much of a failure gun control is.

Duomo and his co-conspirators have legions of armed guards. Wake up, America.

All of this 2nd Amend logic that is brought up on this forum every single day is quietly ignored by the GOP leadership. The only reason that I can think of for that is they want the Dems to succeed. They are, after all, a part of the ruling elite. They can't be safe enslaving us with guns in the hands of The People.

At every turn the GOPe refuses to bring the most basic and simplest of facts to the public. In politics, nothing happens by chance. They are all on the same team.

Cuomo may announce what he wishes. Enforcing his announcements will be another matter altogether.

The elite dysfunctional politicos of our nation are now attempting to disempower the people, while they themselves have armed security, often 24/7.

Liberals tell us that legislation for rounding up illegal aliens is futile.

-—meanwhile-—

Liberals propose legislation for rounding up firearms from honest citizens.

This is about guns in the HOME, not guns in the street.

The former tend to belong to the law-abiding, the latter are wielded by gangstas in da hood, who tend to shoot back at attempts to disarm them.

Cuomo like any liberal chooses the easier target.

“How many more children must die before Washington does something to end our gun violence problem?” the ad says.

If you are in England, where guns are much more scarce, apparantly 10 times more than in America.

Edited on US Violent Crime Rate: 475 per 100,000 citizens
(Year: 2003 http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/05cius/data/table_01.html )

UK Violent Crime Rate: 4,100 per 100,000 citizens
(Year: 2003 http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/rds/pdfs04/rdsolr1804.pdf )

What is it with quoting Firearm Homicide as being so much worse than being carved with a butcher knife or bludgeoned to death with a lead pipe?

It would be quite a coup for Cuomo, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, to show progress on gun control while Washington dithers.

These Pravda Propagandists don't even TRY to appear impartial. 8

NY already has a 10 round mag limit...and they’re going to reduce it.

Eventually, there will be a one-round limit.

“Gun control is highly political, politically contentious situation. It is polarizing,” Cuomo said.

Da, Comrade Cuomo, it is polarizing. What else would you expect when you are dismantling the God given rights of the American people, expressly enumerated in their Constitution... serenity and meek assent?

You will be extremely fortunate if "polarizing" is all it remains, you nasty little tyrant! It is not like you are passing a law to change the speed limit on the Thruway or renaming a new state building in Albany.

Well we’re dealing with low information voters and as we have seen you can show the truth to these people but it doesn’t mean a damn thing. All they’re going to take note of is that Gov. Cuomo is doing something about these “evil” guns and who cares about trampling over the second amendment. Whether Hillary runs or not this doofus of a governor will be a major presidential player in 2016.

There are enough people in this world that understand that the purpose of the 2nd amendment, if it’s an end game, is to hold the politicians to account.

They are terrified of that, and with the media’s help, intend to disarm us.

Email Alert from nssf.org on what this deal means

IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED
Governor Cuomo Close To Deal On Sweeping Gun Control
Contact Your Legislators Today and Urge Them to Oppose This Plan

The backroom deals and meetings continue in Albany with little to no input from the law-abiding firearms owners, businesses, and manufacturers that proudly call New York home. Instead of focusing on the criminal misuse of firearms, Governor Cuomo is exploiting tragedies to strip away your Second Amendment rights. Senate Republicans and Democrats seem to be supportive of these new restrictions which will include a complete ban on all modern sporting rifles, and reducing magazine capacity arbitrarily from 10 rounds to 7, what is next 4 rounds? This restriction will impact almost 80 percent of semi-automatic handguns in New York. The magazine restriction will leave many New Yorkers unable to defend themselves and their family since most manufacturers do not make 7 round magazines. In newspapers throughout New York both sides say the deal is imminent and could come as quickly as Monday.
Here are some of the issues contained in the package being negotiated between Governor Cuomo, Co-Leader Dean Skelos, and Speaker Sheldon Silver:

1. An outright ban on ALL modern sporting rifles. Governor Cuomo even suggested confiscating legally owned firearms!
2. Outlawing all semiautomatic hunting shotguns with a pistol grip.
3. Further restricting your ability to defend yourself and family by arbitrarily restricting the magazine size. New York already restricts magazine capacity 10 rounds and seeks to furthur reduce magazine capacity to 7 rounds.
4. Limiting how much ammunition you can purchase AND possess.
5. Registration of all ammunition purchases.
6. Statewide New York City style gun registration; knowing full well criminals won't ever register their guns.
7. Re-registration and permit renewal every 5 years with ever increasing fees.
8. Mandatory gun storage laws, like the one the US Supreme Court struck down in the Heller decision.
Co-Leader Skelos is quoted in newspapers today saying that Republicans favor “limiting high-capacity firearm magazines.”

You must act immediately and call Governor Cuomo, your state senator and your assembly member to demand they respect your Second Amendment rights and not support legislation that burdens and harasses you the law abiding gun owner.
Tell them to instead focus on the criminals who are the problem.
Find your elected officials here.

This wouldn’t have stopped the shooting of the 4 fire fighters in upstate. It wouldn’t have stopped the shooting of 9 bystanders at the Empire State Building, because they were all shot by police.
