Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly launched a website aimed at curbing gun violence Tuesday, the second anniversary of the mass shooting in Arizona that left her critically wounded.
"Two years ago, a mentally ill young man shot me in the head, killed six of my constituents, and wounded 12 others," Giffords wrote on the website. "Since that terrible day, America has seen 11 more mass shootings -- but no response from Congress to prevent gun violence."
The website, titled "Americans for Responsible Solutions", also features an opinion article that the couple penned, which was published by USA Today Tuesday.
"Americans for Responsible Solutions, which we are launching today, will invite people from around the country to join a national conversation about gun violence prevention, will raise the funds necessary to balance the influence of the gun lobby," the article said.

Now that is a very wide open title. They won't stop at gun control, they will trot her out for every little cause and play the sympathy card.
I don't blame the dems for using her, that's what they do.
Her husband and I use that term loosely, should be protecting her. Instead it is obvious he will literally pimp her out for any chance to hang with the privileged class.

Have you seen her try to walk and talk? There is NO way she wrote that or has anything to do with this whole effort. It is either her scumbag husband trying to make money off her tragedy or the Dems using her to further their nefarious agenda (or both)!
On the site, the NRA is described as an “ideological fringe”.
Having worked on the shuttle program (RIP) for 36+ years and having interfaced with astronauts on different occasions, I can tell you that even though a lot of them are super smart, a lot of them don’t have a lick of common sense(two words). A lot of them also have a port list (left leaning for the land locked) since they’ve seen the “big blue marble” from 200 miles up. Mark kelly may be smart but the smartness and dumbassedness occupy the same space at the same time. And since gabby giffords now has a diminished mental capacity, should they be barred from having firearms in their house?
Call, fax, email, tweet, facebook, myspace, linkedin, write an actual hard copy letter or whatever you can to your rep and sens and demand NO further assault on our rights to KABA. Enough is enough. Politness counts to a point. Then again bluntness sometimes is required. Sadly I’m saddled with hairy reed and even though I’ve “re-quadrupled” (makes as much sense as the old “re-doubled” meme they used to use)my efforts he is way over the edge and bordering on senility from my perspective. Wait. It it an Anti-gun VIOLENCE group? I’m OK with that...as long as it’s not anti-GUN.
But, did you notice that she says a “nut job” shot her? Why didn’t she say a gun shot her? Why didn’t mark kelly jump in and say “we mean a gun shot her”? Leave out the reference to the nut job all together. Evil prowls the streets and it’s name is GUN. You just never know when you’ll turn a corner and be confronted by a pack of guns out lookin’ for trouble.

Maybe liberals could show us all the cities where gun control works. Cities like Chicago and Washington DC... Has gun control stopped violent criminals anywhere? It hasn't.
Our side should insist on outlawing unicorns. We can set up charities, have speeches and clubs... get funding. Have parades...
We can accuse liberals of not caring if people are killed. Because all violence will stop if unicorns are banned. If they're against banning unicorns they're in favor of death. Unicorns are the cause of violence, right?
If some liberal points out that he doesn't think unicorns have anything to do with violence we can shudder with revulsion and set trolls out to their boards to make them look insensitive...
If the shooter had used a revolver that day Giffords would probably be dead, another wounded, Judge Roll dead, and three others dead.
Then he would grab for his second revolver and hit six others.
So much for “gun violence” and over 10 round magazines as more people are killed in the first 10 rounds instead of the last 10 rounds.
I’ve notice several body guards around Giffords, which I’m thinking are armed..I cant say that I blame them , but curiosity wonders who foots the bill?

No, Mark Kelley isn’t a scumbag. He is an “opportunistic” scum bag. I remember hearing him say in an interview after the Tucson shooting that people(Repubs, and Conservatives of course) needed to stop the rhetoric and being mean. Because after all, that is why his wife and everybody else was shot right! Oh that’s right, “rhetoric” had nothing to do with that. However, just like any other liberal, he never let’s the facts get in the way of his “ideology”. He’s a liar on top of being a scum bag.
