Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly launched a website aimed at curbing gun violence Tuesday, the second anniversary of the mass shooting in Arizona that left her critically wounded.
"Two years ago, a mentally ill young man shot me in the head, killed six of my constituents, and wounded 12 others," Giffords wrote on the website. "Since that terrible day, America has seen 11 more mass shootings -- but no response from Congress to prevent gun violence."
The website, titled "Americans for Responsible Solutions", also features an opinion article that the couple penned, which was published by USA Today Tuesday.
"Americans for Responsible Solutions, which we are launching today, will invite people from around the country to join a national conversation about gun violence prevention, will raise the funds necessary to balance the influence of the gun lobby," the article said.

Well, that fits.
Her husband swore an oath to protect and defend a certain document, and by virtue of her passage through the House of Representatives, she has done the same.
God help us because there kind certainly won’t.

Democrats don’t care about the mentally ill, and oppose all efforts to recognize that problem. They pretend it doesn’t exist.
I mean, I am sorry the woman was shot, but these two are starting to remind me way too much of valerie plame and joe whatshisname.

The way we handle the mentally ill is the problem. They need to be removed from the greater society for their own good as well as ours. Whether it’s the Son of Sam, Dahmer, the Aurora shooter or Lanza, they were all mentally ill and should have been put away long before they killed. It’s only after the killings that we hear how strange they were behaving and about their psychiatrists and meds. If not guns, they will use something else. I remember a nut in NYC named Rakowitz that killed, cooked and ate a woman. The socialists never called for the shutdown of restaurant supply companies. It is the way we handle the mentally ill that isthe problem,

Astronauts used to be great Americans. She just doesn’t know any better after her injury.
I am sad that such incidents occur also, but I am also greatly sad and incensed that undermining of the Constitutional recognition of basic freedoms will be the focus of Mrs. Kelly, her husband, and the like. They are going to get more and more attention. Just complaining about this is not countering them. Who is going to figure out WHY people do these shootings??
More like a replacement prop for Jim Brady. Bless her little heart but, I really don’t think we should take policy advice from the brain damaged!
