ALBANY -- A key bloc of Senate Democrats emerged from a huddle Friday with Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo saying the governor wants to pass a package of gun-control legislation this month.
Republicans indicated they could support "closing loopholes" in some gun laws and limits on high-capacity magazines.
During the 90-minute meeting Friday, the governor and the five-member Independent Democratic Conference pored over a "comprehensive" gun proposal "step by step," said Sen. Jeff Klein (D-Bronx). Klein heads the Democratic splinter group that has joined with 30 Republicans to control the State Senate.

New York. Buhhh! Come to Indiana: We have “comprehensive” carry reciprocity with all 57 States in bambam & cuhomo’s Amerika.
I moved to Indiana in 1994 and got my first civilian carry permit a month later. Last year, I finally converted to a lifetime carry permit. It took seven days, including the weekend, for my permit to arrive. I cannot imagine living in a state where the servants became the masters.

PS: I worked on an Organized Crime Task Force focusing on the Gambinos/Gottis in New york and Jersey, Chicago, etc. Some of Papa Cuomo’s mobbed up labor union supporters were owned by the Mafia, all Democrats mind you.

The one we gun owners need to watch closely is what Liberals keep referring to as the “Gun Show Loophole.”
What they’re calling a Gun Show Loophole is when private citizens meet at gun shows and buy or sell guns from other private citizens and no background check is made. When no background check is made to determine whether or not the buyer is a felon or mentally incompetent, the possibility exists that you have just sold a firearm to a felon or a nut.
Liberals say that if we will just pass a law that closes this “Gun Show Loophole,” gun buyers at Gun Shows will have to purchase their guns only from licensed gun dealers with a Federal Firearms License (FFL) at the Gun Show and a background check will be made to determine the eligibility of the buyer.
This law, if passed, may sound reasonable to some, but what that law will do is make it illegal to sell or trade guns among your friends and relatives, but criminals and the mentally disturbed will continue to purchase their guns from the trunk of the car of the guy parked in the alley behind Wal-Mart who also sells marijuana, cocaine, etc., etc.
Let your elected representatives know that they must not pass laws that will take freedom from law abiding citizens but will not change in the slightest how criminals attain firearms in this country
At this point, it doesn’t matter what new anti-gun laws they pass.
They might as well be pizzing into the wind.
