Megyn Kelly Challenges Professor Who Wants America to ‘Give Up’ U.S. Constitution
The Blaze ^ | 12/7/2013 | Billy Hallowell

Many Americans were shocked to learn about Georgetown University Professor Louis Michael Seidman’s advocation for the U.S. to abandon the Constitution — the central document that has helped spawn America’s growth and progression for hundreds of years. As previously reported, the constitutional expert recently noted his belief (via an op-ed) that a blind allegiance to the outdated document is perilous. On Friday, he defended his controversial views about some purportedly “evil” provisions in the Constitution in an interview with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly.

Fortunately, by the time my grandchildren are adults, this guy will be dead. He just wants to get attention and sell his book.

Not the best example, I think, seeing that a good number of States passed anti-Kelo legislation.

Here’s a thought. Let the left-leaning States abandon the Constitution, while the rest of the States keep it.

It's an opening. It is my belief that liberals and conservatives are now so far apart that we can no longer live amongst each other.

For the "professor": it's obvious he does not understand the Constitution. It's framework, and the difficulty in amending it, are its purpose. It was meant to be hard to amend/change! It was designed to limit government, something this "professor" obviously does not like or agree with.

Good point.

To go further... as it’s kind of like the butterfly effect here...

What if we hadn’t abandoned the Constitution on February 25, 1791? Hamilton was gung-ho on a federal bank; Jefferson was TOTALLY against that, and referenced how it breached Article 1 Section 8....

Of course, in this instance (and I’m sure many others), Washington sided with Hamilton.

I promise most of those on the left think like this and don't have any use for our constitution

Sadly you're all too correct. God help us all.

Check out the trailer for this film. IMHO, it's spot on.

“Georgetown University Professor Louis Michael Seidman’s advocation for the U.S. to abandon the Constitution”...

Hearing who is advocating this, the professor needs to back to school about U.S. history. better yet, he can move to a county better suited to his liking. What a puke!

Secret liberal decoder ring translation: “too hard to amend” = can’t repeal the 2nd amendment and kill all capitalists

Committees of Safety —Sounds good. They could meet at night—all the judges wear hoods—they could “Judge” people who are a cancer upon the society of free men. Like the nut case Baptists who protest soldiers funerals! Burn em out! Or maybe that Moore fellow who makes bad documentaries! Run him out of town on a rail dressed in Tar and Feathers! (need some really strong people to do the job.) That would be really American.

Megyn Kelly is this the same Megyn Kelly who was filled with so much joy and excitement on Election night that Obama had won?

Are you perhaps thinking of Megan Fox? She was certainly beside herself with joy and excitement when Obama won. Megyn Kelly has always been a real attack-dog conservative. I can understand the confusion.

she probably agrees with the Professor but you won't know it until the day she squeals with joy as the Constitution is done away with. She is one of them.

YOU'RE FULL OF CRAP! Post the video to prove your claim..........or shut up.

Professor Who Wants America to ‘Give Up’ U.S. Constitution

OK Perfesser, we'll give it up for just you. Starting with the Bill of Rights:

First...Shut up, and you are now a Catholic. You will only read what "news" we give you to read.

Second, here is your mandatory machine gun...take good care of it and become proficient...there will be a test.

Third, prepare your garage and living room as barracks to house 30 troops.

Fourth, we'll be coming over this afternoon to search your house and make sure all your paperwork is in order, and by the way....NO MORE ABORTIONS.

Fifth, We're not sure, but we think you've been committing treason with some of the things you've been teaching in class, so we'll be working on that until we get a conviction.

Sixth....etc etc etc

The reality is that, in this country, there are two nations.

One is socialist, and not wanting to live under a constitution which, to them, constricts their agenda.

The other is the nation which still believes in the constitution and the rights of the people. That second nation is the original nation, which the original founders would still recognize. The socialist nation is the one that the founding fathers warned us about.

These two nations are irreconcilable, but the socialist nation needs the conservative nation to support their socialism. Without the conservatives, the socialism would have been stopped dead on its tracks a long time ago. Socialism is unsustainable, and the only thing sustaining it in American right now, is the portion which insists on being independent and self-sustaining.

The conservative side of American would be a lot better off by separating from the socialist side. The socialist side, once they’re on their own, would be looking for foreign aid from the new “Constitutional States of America”.

It's a perfect example - The case should never have even been heard in the first place. And when it was heard, Kelo et al LOST, and their houses were demolished. What good was the Constitution for them?

How can anyone in their right mind find authority for ObamaCare in the Constitution? It is simply not there. What good is the Constitution for the rest of us? Who follows it? Certainly not the Supremes!

Megyn Kelly is no Conservative. She was positively giddy the night the Obama won reelection. And she HATED Newt...

If the left keeps electing Presidents, Louis Michael Seidman may be the next President.

We need to stop electing Rinos in our primary. We tried it the moderates way twice and lost with McCain and Romney. We need to elect a good strong Conservative in the Primary.

Well it was the blonde wonman I thought it was Megan Kelly who did the Presidential election coverage on Fox. It was not Megan Fox who is a brunette actress.
