I was talking to a friend and their opinion was that dhs was buying it so WE couldn’t.

Absolutely. Domestic LEOs use JHP to avoid having rounds pass through the intended target to one beyond. Black Talon was made LEO only after a big stink in the press. Ball FMJ is for paper punching. JHP for actual live targets. JHP also handles better indoors. It won’t end up in the next door neighbor’s house. Frangible is good that way as well.

My husband works in a business where they make things for police departments and vehicles. This whole year they have been swamped with business they did not have before. Huge orders have meant huge overtime.
The thing is, the folks working there wonder what is up.
I am serious when I say that this kind of increase is most unusual.
It’s fake. It’s a survivalist entrepreneur with an overstock of No. 10 TVP cans marketing his goods. Calling in imminent martial law is a good way to stampede preppers to your website to buy more grub.

Everyone needs to read "Unintended Consequences", it gives one possible tactic to be used by the good guys.
Sounds like preps for a lot of small confrontations, up close and personal...like weapons confiscations, for instance.
Yeah, this is an example of telling nuts what they want to hear. Probably a conspiracy guy pretending to be a cop. Martial Law requires too many diverse people to cooperate. You can do it in a city during a riot because people hate rioters but arbitrarily doing it is impossible. I know too many cops who wouldn’t cooperate for a whole host of reasons.
