Obama: More Tax Increases Possible to Reduce the Deficit

President Barack Obama said he’s willing to consider more spending cuts to lower the deficit, as long as they’re coupled with more tax reforms.

Using Saturday’s weekly address to praise Congress’ last-minute deal to avert the “fiscal cliff,” Obama said it’s “just one more step” in the larger effort to boost the economy and reduce federal deficits. He said this week’s deal raised taxes on the wealthiest Americans while preventing a middle-class tax hike that could have thrown the country back into recession.

“I believe we can find more places to cut spending without shortchanging things like education, job training, research and technology all which are critical to our prosperity in a 21st century economy,” Obama said, speaking from Hawaii where he is finishing his holiday vacation with his family. “But spending cuts must be balanced with more reforms to our tax code. The wealthiest individuals and the biggest corporations shouldn’t be able to take advantage of loopholes and deductions that aren’t available to most Americans.”

The wealthy saw their income tax go up 12%, their Social Security tax increase 32%, Medicare tax rise by 24%, and Cap gains rate increase by 20%, and this pig thinks that wasn’t enough?

McConnell said on all the AM talk shows that they are done with taxes. Now it’s on to the spending cuts. And he was careful to say spending cuts not entitlement reform.

Start with,
the State Department,
the Justice Department,
the Commerce Department
the EPA, &
the Energy Department.

Everything they've done for the last 4 years they've screwed up.

He isn’t going to pay down debt. He is going to partially fund his agenda and acquire more debt, which he will then use as an excuse for raising taxes even higher.

Payroll taxes should be deducted from all taxpayer funded benefits like welfare, food stamps, and unemployment. They will eventually benefit from SS and Medicare/Medicaid programs. Let them pay in. Just consider it a 6.2 percent across the board pay cut for free loaders. If I have to tighten my belt they can too.

Don't forget about increased taxes due to 0bamacaretax. Not only on medical devices but on real estate transfers and stock transfers.
This hits the middle class where they live, Literally!

This is getting so, so obvious. Now, the best way to go about this is to openly mock him. Call him king. Sarcastically point out that oh sure, we will raise taxes on the evil rich to 50, 60, 70 percent, and we really do believe this time, that you will enact entitlement reform sometime in the future. Don’t get angry, just don’t take him seriously, at least in public. Behind the scenes, the GOP needs to wargame the shut down scenario, and the executive power grab over spending authority.
Zero is always trying to provoke conservatives as a way for them to say or do something reflexively without thinking. Point out that zero’s real goal is total spending authority and dictatorship (they can call it kingship)

This man idiot is a total waste of the life force.

It's a toss up over who is the most stupid - Obama or those who vote for him.

The constitution states that spending bills must originate in the House. The theory was that the House, reelected every two years and closest to the will of the people, has prime responsibility of how the people’s money is spent. Just don’t understand why the Republican majority does not defund offending agencies and programs.

First the Republicans must take the blame for raising taxes again.

Then he’ll “consider” cutting spending. Indeed, he’ll consider it for about five seconds. Then he’ll say, “Nah,” and return to his golf game.

This lust for more and more of the earnings of the the smaller and smaller productive sector is not going to stop until we deal with the parasite class. We have to make people understand that we are not responsible for their bad choices, not responsible for the care and feeding of their broods and not responsible for supporting the countries that they came from. No more welfare. No more foreign aid to countries that undermine us.
