Thanks for the post Bray.
I had to reach the depths of my self-inflicted alcoholism to re-establish my relationship with God. Almost 16 months of sobriety later, having made a decision to turn my life and will over to the care of God, I can now clearly see the enormity of the truths you have just written about the state of our spiritual affairs as a party, as a nation. I wasn’t paying attention to it before. Now, I am.
Never being an outwardly religious person, my personal experiences have led me to now living on a spiritual plane and my eyes are open and what I see here in my microcosm of the world, is spiritually dismal. We are losing the war for our collective souls.
As a nation, we are becoming powerless. We are hitting our spiritual bottom. The signs are everywhere. I won’t go into them here. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes calamity to lead to serenity. If there is no admission to the problem as you have once again superbly presented it, then the solution can not be obtained. Will not be obtained.
I plainly see the lights shining in your post. Until we have a collective shift in the spiritual consciousness of everyone in this nation, I fear the continuing darkness of its soul.
Well said and truly from the heart.
And notice the new tag line.
Racer, thank you for your courage to speak the truth. Unless you have God in your life you are living an empty existence. I could have never survived my financial trials without faith in God to carry me through.
I too went through the One Step program. Step towards God and he will cure your addiction.
