My 1st paycheck of the year was deposited today. Guess what? (vanity)

Posted on 01/05/2013 3:37:47 PM PST by ReaganÜberAlles

It's smaller.... not a terrible amount but maybe a tank of gas a month or so, maybe more, maybe less. The Social Security tax break was allowed to expire apparently.

Thank goodness,.. we all know what a great system S.S. is.

This is the deal that Obama wanted and the deal we got.

Check your paychecks,.... if you're lucky enough to receive one in Obama's "robust" economy,...see what you find.

It's nice to know that I am one of the "rich" now. I guess if Obama can't define you as rich, then he just defines rich as.......you.

Plus, as a bonus, no one cares anymore about those 4 Americans that were murdered in Benghazi on 9/11/2012.

Brave New World indeed.

The revolution will not be televised. And it won't be on the Internet or Facebook either.

Saw the same thing and incensed. I started talking to people at the bank, post office, etc. Called Obama voters I know to tell them they’ve been had. It’s unbelievable the way this person lies without apparent consequence. We’re gonna keep the pressure on him. We need to gather in the streets like they did in the Middle East. What happened to the Tea Party big gatherings? Bring them back—and hurry!

This is not a tax increase. Hussein temporarily lowered the prevailing payroll tax and funded it with more deficit

Letting the Bush tax cuts expire wouldn't have been a "tax increase" either, since those too were intended to be temporary.

Recall way back when that Hillary Clinton said “you’d just waste it on something”. Don’t bother asking her, she has blue amnesia right now.

We lost $180 every two weeks to taxes. On top of not getting a raise, property taxes and home owners insurance going up we are going to lose every more than that. Can’t wait to see how much health insurance is going up in March.

We are still better off than most people.

Honestly... I was really hoping they would just let the Bush tax cuts expire. It’s time for the 47 percent to start paying their fair share. I’m a 53 year old white guy who has always been employed. There is no way my taxes weren’t going to go up.

I'm with you. I'm 40, have been employed and / or self-employed since I was 14. I pay a damn mountain in taxes - my effective tax rate has crept up past 29%. I'm mad as hell.

Refundable tax credits are crap - yet, they found a way to expand some with the supposed "fiscal cliff" bill.

Haven’t received my new paycheck for 2013 yet. Although, they said we were now switching to the HMO instead of PPO for healthcare.

Have a Dr. appt. this Wednesday. They have no new info, no new cards to give me. I went online, checked into my health insurance and saw no changes.

Printed out what they charge and what my ins co paid them. Will go and pay their full fee ($40 more than they were getting).

Will explain the situation.

Then I feel sorry for you......that is, unless you prefer to spread the misery......

Sorry your check's smaller, but the Social Security tax cut was a stupid, stupid move. It didn't spur economic growth and it made the already-weak Social Security fund even weaker.

This is one tax cut that shouldn't have happened.
