Just one day removed from the House, Barney Frank says he wants to get back to Washington.
Frank, speaking today on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” said he told Gov. Deval Patrick he wants to be interim senator when Sen. John Kerry is named secretary of state.
“A month ago, or a few weeks ago, I said I wasn’t interested,” Frank said, according to a transcript of his appearance on Politico.com. “It was kind of like you’re about to graduate, and they said: ‘You gotta go to summer school.’ But (the fiscal cliff deal) now means that February, March and April are going to be among the most important months in American financial history.”
Frank added: “I’ve told the governor I would now like, frankly, to do that (serve as interim senator).”

As skewed as this country’s electorate has gone, Frank could run for president and have a 50/50 shot at winning.
I would say that it would be more like 60-40 or 70-30.The inmates, My FRiend, are running the aslymn now. The more deviant, the more chance. The more good and decent, the less chance they have.
I would not be surprised to find this all was staged in order to put Frank into the Senate, making it easier for him to win the special election.
Besides, Frank is going to use the Hagel nomination to rally sympathy to the homosexual cause, increasing his chances of winning that special election even further!
And I thought my senators sucked.
