"This is how I figure the federal gun-grab is going to work, too. Lots of bluster from a handful of loud statists, followed by a lot of quiet no-votes from Southern Democrats."

Feinstein's bill is the worst possible thing for the Donk's mid-term chances to hold the Senate...

The gummintdummies would do well to remember Admiral Yamamoto’s advise to the Japanzee High Command: “ do not try to invade the US mainland. You will face a rifle behind every bush” Since he gave that advise I, and another 100 million of my closest friends, have acquired at least 200 million more firearms. And that number, along with the older ones, add up to over more than 300 million guns in the hands of regular folks. And that number,in turn, is more small arms than is on the rest of the face of the earth including all militaries. Swinestein and her grabbers have no freekin idea how much resistance just a few thousand peedoff yanks could/would put up. Ponder, for instance, how few folks it would take to assign a four man team to each “aye” vote to make sure that voter doesn’t do any more damage?

If you keep the heat of a blowtorch on their balls, maybe they will get the message. A candle is not sufficient.

Remember, these are leftist Democrats. They are a little slow on the uptake.

“Burn, Baby, Burn”! I love old war chants.

That is an assertion that requires experimental verification.

I don't think anybody really knows how many firearms are in private hands in the US, nor how many people own these arms; kind of like after the collapse of the Soviet Union, no one has any clue how many AK-pattern rifles were made by the Eastern Bloc countries, the middle east (like the Iraqi Tabuk), China, the Norks, etc. Estimates are anywhere from 10 to 50 million rifles.

Of course, some were destroyed in any one of two dozen conflicts in Africa and Southeast Asia. The gun may be crude, but they were designed to be made and serviced in simple jungle and desert shops. Oh, and since around 1990, God knows how many were (legally) imported into the US and other Western countries. The 4473 form for long guns only mentions caliber, no make or model. Gun confiscation in the US is going to be next to impossible. Hell, they can't even keep convicted felons from getting guns, and they make up less than 1% of the population.

Could be a great sign of things to come nationally....If the damn House Republicans can quickly grow a spine!

Boner could end all of this in an instant by holding a press conference and proudly announcing any such legislation DEAD ON ARRIVAL!

They got the message, alright. They probably received floods of letters from Illinois Democrats and Republicans alike against gun control. Money isn’t everything. When there are enough votes, votes do count.

What sucks is I’ve heard anecdotal reports of some of our better local gun shops, instead of putting them on the shelves, they are selling what ‘black rifles’ they get in on Gunbroker instead. I can’t blame them for going for max profit right now, but a local shop should cater to their loyal local customers first. They should just mark the things up and put them on the shelves.

Hell, at least Walmart is putting theirs out for folks to (QUICKLY)buy, without a markup. Heck, I was talking to the guy at the sporting goods counter at our local Walmart on Christmas Eve, and that morning they got in 4 Colt M4s(the good ‘LE’ models), put them on the shelf, and all were gone within 45 minutes. At least they are getting them in and not marking them up. The guy said they were ordering them daily, and have stepped it up on the quantity. I was fortunate to buy one back in November before the hammer came down. Still haven’t shot the thing yet. I could probably about double my $$$ if I wanted to sell it, but I’d MUCH rather keep it.

Never imagined Walmart doing better for the customers than the local shops. Dammed crazy times we are in right now......

I beg all who I talk to, Everyone who is trained, armed, or otherwise setup to fight :

During the first wave... Run. Run and hide. America needs it’s patriots to survive. The first wave of tyranny expects a 6 to 1 (or greater) loss on the hardcore patriots. The second wave would only expect a 1 to 10 loss.

Please, for America to be rebuilt, we need our patriots.

Bump & a BANG!

At least they can count votes.

Boehner didn't count votes with his Plan B, yet today the fools made him Speaker again!

The local shops are trying to make what money they can, in case the hammer comes down.

Walmart and other such stores really won’t be hurt one way or another, since their product line is very diverse.

I saw this coming and predicted it, no, I’m not going to look up my quote.

Something like this, there are a whole lot of hunters and other gun owners in this state who are democrats. The rat Illinois gov. has to answer to them too.

Don’t worry, if you run out of ammo for your Mosin,
it’s still a very effective club (as heavy as they are) :).

You are on the money. I think that the people who would resist with force are smart enough that they will not wait for the local sheriff or police to send someone to their house. Sufficent peace officers remember their oath of office to be sure that a discreet notice of upcoming "raids" would go out in advance of the vast majority of events. Many officers remember how the FBI was lied to about Randy Weaver, and how it spread a stink on the whole organization that still lingers.

No, the people who decide to resist with force will go after those who brought this catastrophy on the United States. The MSM who put the current president in office and reelected him, the same ones who cheerlead the destruction of the Constitution. At the same time they will go after the staff of the politicians who bowed to the will of the MSM and violated their oath of office. The staff people are often the real power behind the throne. They do not have secret service protection, and a Congresscritter or Mayor or Governor cannot get anything done without his staff.

Former Marines, firearms instructors, veterans of all types, and experienced hunters are all savy enough to figure this out. The vets from Vietnam and the Sandbox understand this kind of war and what it takes. They will not wait in their homes for a swat team. They are more likely to be the swat team.

Aye, they make fine clubs. The bayonet on the dragoon and carbine models is very useful but the 91 and 91/30 are tremendously overlong for modern bayonet drill. They were designed to be used with a difficult and largely forgotten "bayonet fencing" method. The Soviets improvised a simple "brace-and-skewer-the-running-Kraut" drill without technique or parry to make do. It was all most of the conscripts could absorb, anyway.

Come to think of it, brace-and-skewer-the-charging-Kevlar-wearing-fascist-thug is workable. I'm told that the cruciform bayonet punctures body armor like a hot ice pick passes through butter.
