I’ll believe it when I see it.
I hope so but I’m not holding my breath.

Sadly Obama is back in office for another four years. Give him another couple of Supreme Court picks and Barry gets to decide what the Constitution says......

ArmaLite has threatened to move if the laws are enacted

Don't threaten. DO.

Illinois Senate panel OKs ban on assault weapons, high-capacity magazines

SPRINGFIELD — Driven by the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, gun-control legislation designed to ban assault weapons and the ammunition that feeds them passed a Senate panel late Wednesday, setting the stage for a possible floor vote on Thursday.

The Democratic measures advanced out of the Senate Public Health Committee, which historically has been dominated by gun-control advocates, on party-line votes.

That's all I can get without registering.

These attempts MUST be DEFEATED!

There is no negotiation or compromise!

Throwing a “reasonable” label on a communist agenda, doesn't make it so.

Let them be left with sales taxes from the hemp-weaving hippie basket makers and whoever else is dumb enough to stay to fund their commie retard utopia.

The updates from this group and ISRA could be worded better.
My take this is grandstanding for the benefit of the Machine, if they lose downstate Dems in an election then the Machine will lose what really matters the power of the purse. So I think Madigan and his hebitch came up with a plan that satiates the drooling moron libs in the elite circles while at the same time sounding so effin stupid to the rest of the state that it goes nowhere.

LMT one of the finer makers of ARs is from Milan, IL. Kind of ironic that so many quality shops are from IL.

Rock River Arms is also in Illinois. I own (ahem, owned until a tragic boating accident) one of their AR-15's. what a wonderful rifle!

I am headed to my favorite gun store tonight and buying another Remington 870 Express Tactical with the tube extension before the dummy rat assholes in this state try making them illegal again.

Hopefully you're doing more to address the problem than just bitching about the NRA?

To paraphrase Thomas Jefferson: A government that fears the people won’t try this kind of crap.

Everybody is going about this all wrong, The NRA or whoever just needs to File an Emergency Petition for Relief before the very FEDERAL APPEALS court that just ordered the State Of Illinois to PASS A LAW MAKING IT LEGAL TO HAVE GUNS, Demand Sanctions and Contempt Charges for the entire Legislature. It seems to me that the Court will be rather pissed off and just might do something, at the very least they could probably issue a Restraining Order of some kind against the State as a whole. After all they are the second highest court in the country, and most courts and judges take a rather dim look on people that DIRECTLY DEFY their orders, especially when so Brazen. And don’t forget Attorney’s fees. But then again since this Deliberate Act is in Direct Violation of a Federal Appeals Court Order it might also fall under Title 18 241 Deprivation of Rights under Color of Law and open them all up to Personal Liability.

“Give him another couple of Supreme Court picks and Barry gets to decide what the Constitution says”

****

A horse’s head, live girl, or dead boy in inJustice Roberts’ bed was enough to shred the Constitution. The rule of law has been replaced by rule of oligarchy.

No - I fully support sellouts, moderates and RINOs.

Let’s face it: Republicans need to be a big tent. We need to dump our extremists and work with the left to make common sense gun laws that will make our society more safe and fair.

I’ll send the NRA a check right now. :) It’s no longer tax deductible and that’s good.
