And yet, not one word in that NYT article reflecting upon the WHYS of the carnage in those predominately black neighborhoods.

We must accept the very real fact that government interference in the familial structure through social engineering is the root cause.

It can be summarized in the not-at-all funny joke, what is the most confusing day in the ghetto? Father’s Day.

These kids gravitate towards gangs in the absence of father figures in their homes. In the rush to put as many women on welfare as possible, generation after generation, the concept of a nuclear family has become all but non-existent.

The fact that the violence is statistically skewed very heavily on blacks, especially young black males, should not be interpreted as blacks being more prone to violence, rather it is a consequence of the circumstances they have been placed in.

If the government had been treating you or me the way it has been treating the black community for the past century and a half since the abolition of slavery, we would be doing exactly the same thing. Indeed, that is exactly what the government is trying to do right now to the rest of society - indenture them in perpetuity to the shackles of government largess (redistribution).

This entire sad scenario can be placed directly at the feet of the party that has been both terrorizing the black community and representing the black community in politics since reconstruction - the Democratic Party.

In a nation that is founded upon the notion of individual liberty, what is happening in Chicago are INTOLERABLE ACTS.

The Streets of Chicago are little different from the streets of Washington DC or Detroit or any other large city with a black ghetto.

Even where I live the police spend 90% of their time in black neighborhoods where crime is most rampant.

It’s the nature of the beast. In Africa they fought and captured each other and sold them off for slaves.Here, when they have nothing and their neighbors have something they go and take it. If the neighbor gets in the way he dies.

I hold the opinion that our Nation is being ruled by a culture of death. When one looks at the facts of the rulers who make decisions for us, one can sense that abortion, gun control, gun free zones, a whole host of other laws enacted are meant to create death. The culture of death particularly loves killing children. The media needs death to sell their wares and opinions. The overwhelming opinions of the media and the culture of death is to make one defenseless and more susceptible to being a victim and increasing the possibility of one being murdered. It always amazes me, the masses trust the culture of death (democRATS and media) with their children's lives, when intelligent people would understand one does not trust their children's lives to a culture of death.

It's actually worse than you stated. In these communities not only are there no fathers, there are increasingly no mothers.

One survey of a South Side Chicago high school showed that a large percentage of the students were being raised by grandmothers, or were living with other relatives or were staying with friends - many had no permanent home and stayed with whatever adult in their life (who wasn't in prison or an addict) would take them in.

The breakdown in the family structure has gone far beyond no dad at home.

That's some 'odd' map the NY Times has there of the Chicago neighborhoods by race. Namely the majority of the Tan areas which are labeled as (cough) 'white' (cough).

The fact is there are few 'white neighborhoods' left in Chicago. There's Lincoln Park, the Gold Coast, the ones in the far North and Northwest sides, and in the far Southwest side like Mt Greenwood, and in the Southeast side's Hyde Park. [Wait.. Hyde Park are mostly commies and always has been so shouldn't that be 'red' or 'other'? (not joking)]

But the Tan shaded (cough) 'white neighborhoods' (cough) like McKinley Park and Brighton Park ain't exactly what one would call 'white'. Those two neighborhoods are 97%-98% Brown, or more accurately -- Mexican. And not those nice hard-working Mexicans 'doing the jobs us lazy American refuse to do'. No siree Bob, they're now below poverty level Gang-Bangin' Mexican Barrios all living off government freebies. And that'd be from us!

I know, it's where I grew up. And where I still have family.

Oh. And that other 'white neighborhood' called Back Of The Yards, well -- that's been 100% Mexican, and not exactly safe, since the 1980's. So boys and girls I wish we could get this thing called 'People Of Color' and whose 'white', whose a 'minority', and who isn't straightened out pretty darn quick as I'm getting confused as heck.

Note: 'Latinos' are now the majority population in Chicago and have been since the 2000 Census (at least). Followed closely by Blacks and waaaay behind in numbers and percent -- Whites. In short, that map is 100% B*llsh*t. Black and Brown criminals are whacking each other -- the end.
