RE :”LtCol. Allen West (Frm. Congressman/USArmy Ret.)”

You are reminding me of the Sarah Palin fantasy days about 17 months ago. It was ‘make a wish’ time then too.

I think these wishes don't come true.

What I remember, is the wicked coincidence of Gingrich becoming speaker in Jan 1995, Ok City happening in 4/95 and Gingrich and the republicans sliding into irrelevance the next day. Coincidence?

You could do what my Commie neighbor does: register in the opposite party, then vote for the weakest candidate. Yes, that's "gaming the system", but that's what the Commies are doing to us.

Cantor will certainly not run for Speaker, he is far too sleazy and will just play a game to help himself personally which is not that position, he will play ‘I am against anyone when it benefits me’

He is someone to really be careful of.

Tom McClintock!
http://mcclintock.house.gov/2013/01/fiscal-cliff-deal.shtml
(excerpt)

“Let it not be said that ours was a generation of locusts that consumed not only the wealth we inherited from our fathers and mothers, but also stripped bare the future of our sons and daughters.

“As we begin a new Congress, let us also begin a new direction for our nation: stepping back from the precipice that threatens our future. Our government is divided because our people are divided, but over the last two elections they have spoken clearly and resolutely that they expect spending to be brought under control – that’s why they elected Republican majorities to the House of Representatives, where all spending bills begin. It is time the House proved itself worthy of their trust.”

Ah yes, the days when half of Free Republic joined the Democrats and other Libs in repeating lie after slander after made-up BS until most of America believed the MSM party line. I remember those days well.

I just can’t understand why any person worth a damn will stick their necks out for ‘conservatives’ when they will be in for the same treatment.

Nope. It sure is a mystery.

Well, that and the fact that so many repeated the same crap that got us Romney. Perhaps there’s a pattern here...but I just... can’t... put... my... finger... on... it...

I have noticed that everyone just LOVEs to sit on the sidelines and complain and vote their meaningless symbolic ‘no’s,

but ya dont see any of them in House steppin up to the plate to take the Speakers job. That wouldn’t be so easy. It would be risky.

To the fact that no decent person will step up to the plate in politics anymore after seeing how completely untrustworthy the ‘conservative’ movement has become. It is filled with moderates and outright liberals who trash anyone following a conservative platform .

Palin was one example. There are several more that ‘conservatives’ abandoned and then mocked profusely, costing them elections and us bodies in DC because of it. Anyone wanting to put themselves out there as a pol to support conservative causes would be opening himself up to attacks from his supposed base that are every bit as viscous and dishonorable as those from open leftists.

A simple read through FR’s post history in the last 2 years proves that beyond debate. And it continues daily. Here and on every supposedly conservative site across the web.

It is easier to sit in the peanut galley and throw spit balls than to try and assemble 218 votes in the House which can in turn garner a majority in the senate, and then deal with a president that was just re-elected and the media is doing backflips to help. The GOP probably could have gotten a lot more out of this fiscal cliff deal if all the “principled” types gave Boner some room to negotiate. He had very little leverage because just about possible deal would not have been able to pass with just Republican votes in the House.

What we have here are hopeless ingrates wallowing in nits, who would peck our Lord Himself to a second death, so long as they can deal out verbal stripes against accomplished men such as Gingrich. With all his flaws, he is a man of consequence, and quite damn little coincidence, whether it’s January or April in Timbuktu.

RE :”Palin was one example. “

Palin NEVER quit her job at FNC.

In March of 2011 FNC suspended Santurum and Newt from their jobs appearing because they were running but Palin continued to make regular paid appearances on FNC as a paid political commentator all through the election.

She NEVER intended to run. If she was she was have been off FNC too. Those who believed she was running were fools. It was as clear as day and night.

Yep, making big $$$ by throwing rocks at Rs from the peanut galley is too easy.

Of course purely coincidentally Obama seems to win a lot. Maybe his side is unified.
Maybe they actually want to win. But you know blaming is more fun that that, right???

All true. You remember well but Newt is still able to hit home runs out of the park but then strike out when the game win is in view. He is inconsistent, not reliable and unpredictable.

He could be a great President if only he could figure out how to stay on the message that galvanizes Americans and so make Americans proud to be Americans as well as curious to know more about conservatism.
