In a just-concluded interview on the Fox News program “America Live” with Megyn Kelly, New York Sen. Greg Ball called upon citizens to “cancel their subscriptions” to the Journal News, the outlet that has controversially printed the names and addresses of pistol permit holders in Westchester and Rockland counties.

And contact their local advertisers and tell them to cancel their advertising in the paper and on their website or else face a boycott.

I would think cancelling subscriptions to that liberal fish wrap would be a given, but contacting their advertisers is a great idea.

BTTT

Kelly brought up a parallel, asking whether the Journal News database would be equivalent to printing the addresses of people who are seen coming in and out of a Planned Parenthood office.

Hmmmmm

Mr. Ball should spend his time fighting for the abolishment of gun permits. He has introduced leg. so that the info is only available to the police and such. But, that is still wrong.

No one should required to have a permit for any type of gun.

I don't know if there is a state law telling planned parenthood to have their names available to the public, but for guns in NY, it is.

The press merely published a list of permits, something anyone could have done. Of course, the press is selective on what they choose to favor.

Many liberal have gun permits that they like to keep private so as to avoid the whole hypocricy charge. Probably many at the paper have gun permits, epscially in the editorial board(s).

I just wonder if the paper first sanitized the list to exclude those that would cause an immediate embarassment to. Local politicians, union thugs, organized crime figures, democrats, etc.

I wonder also if the women who had weapons permits and were also in hiding due to domnetic disputes, have a legal case agianst the paper for outing them and sujecting them to extreme danger.

The height of hypocrisy.... They hired a private armed protction agency to protect the building and employees though, depspite hundreds of emails and phone calls, the police determined that no one posed a threat to them. The paper goes out and hires armed guards!!!!

Are they on the map?

I think this whole “backlash” from that tragedy at that school, orchestrated as it was by the media,is going to blow up in the left’s face.

News outlets who jumped on the bandwagon are essentially using the deaths of children,to target other innocent civilians....it is disgusting if not criminal.

In 1941, H.L. Mencken, himself a newspaperman most of his life, wrote: “To the best of my knowledge and belief, the average American newspaper, even of the so-called better sort, is not only quite as bad as Upton Sinclair says it is, but 10 times worse – 10 times as ignorant, 10 times as unfair and tyrannical, 10 times as complaisant and pusillanimous, and 10 times as devious, hypocritical, disingenuous, deceitful, pharisaical, Pecksniffian, fraudulent, slippery, unscrupulous, perfidious, lewd and dishonest.”
