Des Moines Register publishes gun-ban column advocating deadly violence against NRA, GOP leaders

Donald Kaul retired earlier this year. Now he has decided to return to writing occasional opinion columns for OtherWords.org. The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Conn. brought out all his ugliness.

In a column that appeared after the shooting with the headline "Kaul: Nation needs a new agenda on guns," he proposed a new liberal agenda: repeal the Second Amendment, declare the NRA a terrorist organization and make membership illegal, and well, make violent threats to Republican leaders and NRA members. The Des Moines Register published this junk on December 29.

Careful, that is just what some members of Congress want so they can finally start working on repealing our first amendment rights.

They were going to wake the secret service, but didn’t want to disturb Michelle.

Isn’t advocating deadly violence against specific individuals or groups a crime?

“Y’all” meaning Pelosi and her ilk, not you.

I’m contending that A1 protects A2. Self defense of liberty is (aka: RKBA) is free exercise of religion.

Sorry Cletus, I thought that you thought that I was advocating restricting speech. And I also thought you were making fun of me because I live in the south. WORDS are so powerful and can be taken so wrong from their meaning, especially when written without the benefit of facial expressions.

Y'know, it might be interesting to contact everyone who buys advertising in the Register and ask them if they agree with the opinions expressed by Kaul; after, of course, their locations and contact information are posted on the internet in an integrated map format.

No. Not if those investigating agree with those advocating.

Not very many folks still buy ads in the Register, which is why the Register is collapsing inward from its own weight.

Why not suggest that gun felonies be made a capital offense and such offenses be expedited such that arrest to execution (or acquittal) be completed in five years? Because he’s probably only in favor of capital punishment for people who don’t think the way he does, rather than actual criminals. If gun-using felons were executed, we have a big spike in executions, followed by a 1950’s level of crime.

Kaul just lets the facade slip. He is the inner, psychotic voice of most libs. They love humanity but hate people. This moron doesn’t realize it, but many Dems in Iowa own guns and won’t give them up. I used to work with a lot of guys from Iowa. They had a few things in common: they all loved hunting, and they were all hardcore Dems. I’d like to see Kaul try to take their guns away. The demented old fool would quickly find out he’s in a distinct minority in the state of Iowa as far as hatred of guns.

The Australian gun ban produced these results: # Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2%
# Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6%
# Australia-wide, armed-robberies are up 44%
# In the state of Victoria, homicides-with-firearms are up 300%
When you hand over your firearms, this is what you can expect every time.

I say burn up the FBI lines with complaints of threats made against your life. Haul this POS into court in every jurisdiction for making such vile threats.

Too bad dueling is prohibited. My honor has been attacked. I demand satisfaction. Choice of weapons is mine. I say M-1s at 300 yards. Or swords.
