Boehner Responds to Reid: 'Go F— Yourself'

"Go f— yourself," Boehner repeated.

Politico reports on the exchange:

House Speaker John Boehner couldn’t hold back when he spotted Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in the White House lobby last Friday.

It was only a few days before the nation would go over the fiscal cliff, no bipartisan agreement was in sight, and Reid had just publicly accused Boehner of running a “dictatorship” in the House and caring more about holding onto his gavel than striking a deal.

“Go f— yourself,” Boehner sniped as he pointed his finger at Reid, according to multiple sources present.

Reid, a bit startled, replied: “What are you talking about?”

Boehner repeated: “Go f— yourself.”

The harsh exchange just a few steps from the Oval Office — which Boehner later bragged about to fellow Republicans — was only one episode in nearly two months of high-stakes negotiations laced with distrust, miscommunication, false starts and yelling matches as Washington struggled to ward off $500 billion in tax hikes and spending cuts.

Boehner words like that only have significant meaning when you have the guts then to stick to what is right and see it through. Other wise it simply puts you on the recieving end of the meaning of your own message. Or a BOHICA as we used to call it in the Navy. Harry & Barry had their way.

You too, eh?

Yup, I can't stand the sound of his voice and can't get to the volume or mute button fast enough.

My husband thinks I’m losing my mind because I’m always yelling at the TV or the radio. I so despise O that I can’t control my mouth.

My wife thinks I am a little on that path. 0 bummer was on tee vee yesterday as I walked in and gave him the two handed / single finger salute. She fussed at me for that. I told her I would show him the same respect the left showed to Bush.

Sorry to disappoint but twitter saying no serious challengers to Boehner. He will sail through.

Of course.

I've been conditioned to expect nothing from the leaders in the republican party.
So I won't be disappointed.

I don’t watch much tee vee, because I can’t stand his mug. When I am in my pickup, I have talk radio on so there is little audio of him.

Sorry... Republicrats and Demoblicans have all become one and the same to me... all belonging to the Political Class... Democrats willing to piss on the constitution and Republicans willing to let them... a pox on them all. I’ll live for God and my family... go ahead, chide all you want, waste your time all you want, I’m done done wasting mine.

A dysfunctional government led by dysfunctional elected officials put there by a dysfunctional electorate. This whole fiscal cliff drama might as well have been a reality show about a family of drunken hillbillies in a trailer park fighting over Thanksgiving dinner.

I call it “opting out” of the current circus-type fiasco that is now called ‘American government’. Nothing we on the right have done has managed to change a thing for the better...so why even bother trying. We’re up against an “Idiocracy” type of mentality now. Rampant supidity and apathy has destroyed us. And we can’t win against that. It’s too late and it’s gone too far. I am firmly convinced of that.

“I’m done done wasting mine.”

You see that comes off to me at show. Boehner trying to appeal to the base with rhetoric even as his deed stab us in the back.

That just shows the level of his intelligence. I can’t stand to hear that word used, regardless of who says it and who it’s said to. Unprofessional to the hilt. Sad to say this poor excuse has been put in the post of speaker again. What is wrong with this place?

That is a valid point. But, sometimes, you have to speak in the only language the other side understands.

I agree.

It has to be limited, only once in a while. But seriously, sometimes one just has to say the truth.

Exactly the same situation going on with my friend.

Actually the media didn’t have to do it. The Republicans of NY and NJ were swinging away with great power. I listened to the program twice as well is Christie’s tirade later.
