Experts and some law enforcement sources believe the unseasonable warmth that hit Chicago during that period contributed to a homicide spike as high as 66 percent in April, and the month of March—the warmest March on record in Chicago--was especially hit hard when there were 53 homicides, up from 23 in March 2011.

Even though Chicago has the most police officers per 100,000 people out the five major U.S. cities, many within the department and the police union have argued that more officers are needed on the street to combat the gun violence.

Warm weather kills. Out here in Hawaii on this blessed New Years Day it is 83 and sunny. I have already witnessed 2 murders and 3 shootings, and it’s not even dark yet.
Let’s see, if we assume that is average, then over 10 years, that’s 5060 dead. It was safer for us to be in Afghanistan or Iraq. When do we plan to pull out of that third world hell-hole...Chicago.

Yep, we’re not allowed to talk about feral youth gangs, most of whom are members of officially recognized aggrieved minority groups. We’re supposed to be sensitive about the legacy of slavery and all that, as we assess the behaviors which result in these deaths.

Actually the only ones saying “I love this city” besides the rich, white liberals who live in low crime areas, often behind gates with guards, are the MORTICIANS and the grave-diggers and the coffin makers.
I guess Rahm Emanuel told these three groups to “Never let a good crisis go to waste.” Besides, I need your income and business taxes to pay off my gumbas.
It is black on black crime, it is black on white/hispanic/oriental,etc. crime. It is hispanic on hispanic crime. In short, obozo’s gime-gime, generational public aid folks, obozo’s bought and paid for vote folks who are mainly responsible for the bulk of ALL crime in Chicago...listen to the police calls, one black after another committing a crime, over and over and over again from one police shift to another. Read the Chicago police blog and listen to the cops tell their stories of what they encounter nightly in the black neighborhoods, which are spreading to many other areas of Chicago, which were once white, which is spreading to the middle and upper-class black neighborhoods of Chicago...black folks who work and pay taxes are pissed off about the crime spreading to their neighborhoods, but I don't know to what extent or what they are doing about it.
I was born and raised in Chicago, but I won't return to the city for any reason because I don't want to be killed, accidentally or otherwise. God help those elderly or disabled blacks (and I'm NOT talking about the black males who are wheel-chair bound because they got caught in gunfire of their own doing) who must live in those ghetto neighborhoods because of financial constraints...they are sitting ducks as victims for the thugs who seek them out.
It is one big cesspool of crime, greed, hate, all fueled by obozo,who gave his paid-for voters the green light to go out and live like feral animals in the street and commit rampant crime...all part of the Saul Alinsky communist rules of the road on how to tear down a country, brick by brick, until you can totally destroy that which holds the country together, i.e. the Constitution, Liberty and Freedom, and then oboma the socialist/communist steps in and completes the job of making this country another Cuba, North Korea, etc.
