Howdy everyone!!

Happy New Year!!

Out with 2012 and we get to do it all over again in 2013 (I wish)!! It's unbelievable that the Marxist excuse of a president was re-elected. And now we're going over the fiscal cliff, the debt cliff, the unemployment cliff, and the govern by royal decree cliff all at once. Best be gearing up to vote in a majority of tea party conservatives in the House and retake the majority in the Senate in 2014 so we can impeach his royal majesty before the constitution becomes totally null and void!!

Woo hoo!! And our first quarter 2013 FReepathon is now officially underway!!

Please keep those cards and letters coming in folks. Your loyal support makes Free Republic possible. And your continuing participation makes FR the number one reader funded, independent, pro-life, pro-family, pro-small government, pro-defense grassroots conservative forum on the Net!!

Thank you! Her parents are the sweetest people. Her father is a Marine who did two tours of duty in Iraq. Thank goodness he’s safely home and back to civilian life.

"When the representative body have lost the confidence of their constituents, when they have notoriously made sale of their most valuable rights, when they have assumed to themselves powers which the people never put into their hands, then indeed their continuing in office becomes dangerous to the state, and calls for an exercise of the power of dissolution. "

Texas
***
"Known for their generosity, hospitality, unusual accent, and penchant for the larger-than-life, Texans are wonderful people to meet, and the variety of cultural experiences, from feasting on bratwurst with the Germans of the Hill Country to watching Flamenco dancers with the Tejanos of the Rio Grande valley, is seemingly unlimited.”

California
***
"California is a state located on the West Coast of the United States. It is by far the most populous U.S. state, and the third most extensive (after Alaska and Texas). It is home to the nation's second- and sixth-largest census statistical areas (Los Angeles Metropolitan Area and San Francisco Bay Area), and eight of the nation's fifty most populated cities (Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, San Francisco, Fresno, Sacramento, Long Beach and Oakland). The capital city is Sacramento."

Texas
***
"Texas has a "low taxes, low services" reputation. According to the Tax Foundation, Texans' state and local tax burdens rank among the lowest in the nation, 7th lowest nationally; state and local taxes cost $3,580 per capita, or 8.4% of resident incomes.
Texas is one of seven states that lack a state income tax. Instead, the state collects revenue from a state property tax and sales tax, which is charged at the rate of 6.25%, but local taxing jurisdictions (cities, counties, special purpose districts, and transit authorities) may also impose sales and use tax up to 2% for a total maximum combined rate of 8.25%. Texas is a "tax donor state"; in 2005, for every dollar Texans paid to the federal government in federal income taxes, the state received approximately $0.94 in benefits.
In 2010, Site Selection Magazine ranked Texas as the most business-friendly state in the nation, in part because of the state's three-billion-dollar Texas Enterprise Fund. Texas has the joint-highest number of Fortune 500 company headquarters in the United States, along with California.
In 2010, there were 346,000 millionaires in Texas, constituting the second-largest population of millionaires in the nation. "
