Fiscal cliff deal raises taxes $41 for every $1 of cuts to government...

The fiscal cliff deal raises taxes by $41 for every $1 cut from the budget, it was revealed today.

The bill, which was passed by the Senate hours after midnight on New Year's Day, will be the biggest tax hike in more than four decades - raising a reported $620 billion in new revenue and cutting just $15 billion from the budget.

Republicans in the U.S. House, who are expected to take up the issue this afternoon, are already beginning to revolt. The party swept into power in Congress with promises of reducing the size of government and lowering taxes.

reports that rough calculations from Congressional sources reveal a lopsided emphasis on tax rises in the fiscal cliff bill.

The network says only 70 House Republicans are likely to vote for the bill - which means nearly every Democrat will have to support it in order for the measure to pass. 'Without substantial, real first year cuts in spending I can't vote for the bill passed by the Senate late last night,' Representative Jason Chaffetz, a Utah Republican tweeted.

The Leftist scum in US Media will be sure to omit this info from its daily ‘news’.

I thought financial bills were supposed to originate in the House. What about this Senate-passed bill is not going off the cliff anyway?

Supposedly, they took the house passed bill from August, and just amended it to suit them. You wouldn’t know that from the media, though. Then they’d have to admit that the Senate waited until the 11th hour.

Just got his email:

In the coming New Year, 2013, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union address will occur on the same day. This is an ironic juxtaposition of events. One involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to an insignificant creature of little intelligence for prognostication. ....The other involves a groundhog.

Vote it down. It’s all backward. It should be $41 in spending reduction for every dollar of tax increase.

Fiscal cliff deal raises taxes $41 for every $1 of cuts to government...

Not only must that ratio be reversed, but ALL CUTS MUST BE CONTEMPORANEOUS with the increased revenue, at the same ratio.

Otherwise, all the discussions, handwringing, deals and BS are not worth a bucketfull of spit!
