The following letter, written by U.S. Marine Joshua Boston and headlined No maam., was posted in the CNN iReport on Dec. 27 with the included note from the producer and photo. It has struck a nerve with many and is being circulated around social media venues like Twitter and Facebook.
Senator Dianne Feinstein,
I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the governments right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You maam have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.
I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.
I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.
I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.
We, the people, deserve better than you.
Respectfully Submitted,
Joshua Boston

The libs know that they are outnumbered, yet they attempt to hoodwink Americans into thinking that they are the majority.
We the people DO deserve better than her. Great letter.

Someone mentioned that the majority of us don't want to be the first to martyr for the cause. But what happens when it's our friends, family, neighbors?
I got this letter emailed to my twice today. I wonder what the government’s response would be if a few million or so wrote a similar letter.
Short and to the point.
The letter is well put ! I am sure when she sees it, I am sure some form of reprisal will go to this former Marine’s direction.
That’s pretty much how most Americans feel. She is in trouble if she thinks she can pull this off. Let her try. It will be her undoing!
I’m “out in the country” and you should have heard all the gunfire last night at midnight.
It was music to my ears.
Excellent letter, short and to the point.
God bless this Marine. Unfortunately for him, one call from the White Hut and all his VA benefits will disappear down the memory hole.
nice!
It’s almost like Feinswine wants to help out the NRA with its fundraising. She leaks a bill that has zero chance of getting even 20 votes in the Democrat Senate and some people actually believe her pipe dream might become law. Weird. But hey, okay by me. I want the NRA as flush as possible.
Feinstein’s probable reaction:
“I’m a Senator! A SENATOR! Dammmit! I am not a ma’am!
I’m a Senator! [doing her best Herman Munster jumping-up-and-down impression]
A SENATOR!
A SENATOR!
A SENATOR!”

Of all the armed services, the Marines command the most respect from me.
This Marine exemplifies what is right with them.
Not to spoil your fun, but that was Barbara Boxer.
Thank GOD for honorable young American men like this
My late husband bought me a pistol and showed me how to use it after our house was broken into several times.
Years later we were having a fight over building a bathroom in the corner of a large room. I wanted to go the Home Depot and measure the size of shower and bath enclosure, a toilet, sink and water heater and then draw a plan. He wanted to just start cutting 2 x 4s and throwing up walls. Finally he screamed at me, “I didn’t climb up and down those ugly brown hills in Korea to have some woman tell me what to do.” At that moment I realized that I was the enemy, which also explained a lot that had not been going well in the marriage.
Now I read this letter where the Marine says, “I will not have some woman who”. If he ever gets married, I hope he does not destroy his marriage because of his attitude toward women.
I would volunteer, if I could be certain:
1. That my wife would be cared for the rest of her days, wanting for nothing, in the manner that I seek to care for her;
2. That my death wold be avenged ten thousandfold within a week;
3. And that the fight would not stop until the Constitution, backed but not dominated by Christianity, prevailed in the land.
As a former soldier, I only fear giving my life for a futility, or worse, for those who will surrender as soon as their comfort is threatened.

Curious that “wold” passes muster with the spell checker.
It is socialism, here called liberalism which in a direct and indirect manner is making sure that a good portion of our society breeds an endless supply of destitute and ignorant beings which provide a constant stream of new customers for drugs coming in to this country and keeps the drug cartels in business. All you have to do is check the statistics.....what makes up the jail population and who does all the shooting....and then along comes a “Feinstein” and wants to curtail gun possession, where as she should be more concerned about the spread of a virus by the name of socialism, what ails our society. Sad, sad indeed......Oh well...once again every one have a Happy New Year!
How about some RAW numbers? Has this been read by millions yet? Of those; how many agree with this courageous Marine? Millions upon millions, I hope. :-)
I don't respect any man that served the Usurper.
When Injustice becomes Law, Resistance becomes Duty - Thomas Jefferson
Ask a Liberal one simple question, how does disarming ME make YOU any safer?
While probably true, I must point out that there is no such thing as a former Marine.
The Marine served HIS COUNTRY for eight years.
He did not SERVE the Usurper. Only Dictators, Emperors, Kings and Pharaohs are “served”.
Me thinks you should rethink the content of your Post.

I am an American Soldier...defender of freedom against tyranny
and when I enter the valley of death
and the agent of Satan appears at my shoulder
I will be resolute and fear no evil
And my Lord in heaven will guide my sword.
“Now I read this letter where the Marine says, I will not have some woman who..... If he ever gets married, I hope he does not destroy his marriage because of his attitude toward women.....”
That’s what you brought from the letter?....He in no way was disrespectful or showed any animosity towards women in what was written......Actually with all due respect, you sound like the one who is applying your own personal issues to the theme of his letter...
I caught that, too, and thank you for writing what you did. How about, “I don’t put my life on the line every night...”, from a cop husband. The uniform doesn’t automatically make the hero.
That said, the marine is brave to write that letter and take a stand.
I do not know about how the Marines are sworn in but my oath was to uphold the Constitution, and not to any pResident. The CIC is just one link in the chain of command, and EVERY link in that chain can be changed.
Who’s first will probably be determined by the action’s of those who will be sent to deprive us of our second amendment rights.
You, Sir, are an idiot! He serves the Constitution, not the person in the white hut. His oath is to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign or domestic.
I'm sure the IRS is working on their audit plans. They'll do it for every year he made a penny, one year at a time. He will have people showing up saying they were getting complaints that he was seen carrying illegal weapons into his house. Some lib judge will get them search warrants. They will shoot his dog if he has one. If not, a dead dog will show up on his porch.
Obama does not like people messing with his troops. I hope he is careful. I worry they will pull a fake, "We had to shoot him 37 times because he answered the door with a weapon pointed at us and would not put it down."
Then the media can read the provided script, "Yes, this was the SAME gun-nut guy who wrote a rambling paranoid rant against Senator Feinstein that has received wide acclaim on assault-weapon-crazy websites. We are also investigating to see whether this is the same Marine who was in the VA mental ward and who has been writing threatening letters to various gun-safety politicians."
Of course I'm being paranoid. None of these things have EVER happened to anyone in real-life. /s
I am bringing 44 years experience living with a man who could sound as respectful as this man most of the time, but after what he said I began to see subtle signs just like what I see in this letter.
“Thats pretty much how most Americans feel. She is in trouble if she thinks she can pull this off. Let her try. It will be her undoing!”
I’m just retrospectively sorry that Feinswine wasn’t in George Moscone’s office when Dan White paid his visit! This woman and her third husband have used her office to make themselves rich at the expense of the taxpayers.
I missed it, where in the letter does he detail his attitude toward a woman or women in general?
Maybe he isn’t the prejudiced one.
Rush made a large point about this recently. Congresscritters have gotten way, way to uppity. They are there only because of our vote. They are there to serve us.
The content of this letter, and it’s intent is NOT right-wing gun nut talk.
Although that is the ‘medium’ used.
This letter is all about refusal to respect, obey, or submit to liberal/socialist demands and philosophy.
Too bad it will spun by the media as gun nut rantings.
Gun Show and Gun Shop emptying is not also not really about guns, but to make that same statement loudly and clearly.
We live in the ghetto it was the one night i don’t call the cops when I hear it
wold 1. an elevated tract of open country. 2. Often, wolds. an open, hilly district, especially in England, as in Yorkshire or Lincolnshire.
Probably not one in a million people in this country have ever heard it used or used it in a sentence.
The young Marine will find his own way home.
Regards,
GtG
Powerful words. But, unfortunately they mean nothing to powerful people to whom we have given eminent domain over our lives.
One thing I have noticed about soldiers, police officers, and firefighters that put their lives on the line on a regular basis; they all believe in God. I think there’s good reason for this; they are both protectors and men of honor. Our current administration would do well to learn from them. God bless them all! They’re an honor to our country and we are proud of them whether they’re a cook or a navy seal or if they’ve served 1 year or 30 years
The criminal class laughs at those who comply. They are easy pickings for the criminal.
> The letter is well put ! I am sure when she sees it, I am sure some form of reprisal will go to this former Marines direction.
And when it does it will backfire on them to show them for what they really are. So go ahead let’em. Just let us know what they do so it can be broadcast all over the Internet.
