There has been so much "Evil Big Oil" stuff out there that people often do not stop and think that oil companies who get a bad name don't prosper anywhere near what they could have if they just did things right. It's a business which relies on the relationship it has with those who help it find the raw materials and products it sells by permitting drilling. No new wells, eventually nothing to sell--which is why the Left continues with the assault on the industry. They've been selling the "Evil Big Oil" meme since before the Captain Planet cartoons (promptly banned in my home).
I live over “Marcellus Shale” 2-3 miles deep.
My neighbor can light his well water on fire with a match.
There has been NO DRILLING in this area for gas - the closest I know of is about 40 miles from me. Fools in NYState...
I believe that the the fracking alarmists take advantage of such examples as my neighbor’s to frighten people without any real evidence that gas drilling or oil drilling causes problems. Gas can and does occur naturally in many underground water sources.

I was forced into watching this last night by a date who wanted to see it because a friend of hers was an extra in the first bar scene. I couldn’t tolerate it... I got up and walked out leaving my date to watch the rest of this UAE-funded pure propaganda piece with the rest of the NY state brainwashed jackasses in the theater. Her waste of $17.
Good for you. Any date of mine would have walked out with me and we would have demanded our money back (if that is possible). Because your “date” stayed and watched the movie, it tells me you have your work cut out for you in winning her over to the right side.
I heard from Grover Norquist that the Dems are working up for a new tax on energy with the use of a VAT (Value Added Tax) tax. The Dems want to tax the Middle Class—make no mistake.
