The House rejected tax cuts on people making over $1M but now they will vote for a deal with taxes on those making over $450K? actually I don’t care one way or the other what they do now as I no longer care about this pseudo-drama. However I find this new ‘deal’ suspicious. My guess is the dems are setting up expectations so if Republicans in the House kill the deal at last moment the Republicans are blamed

Agree, Plain talk, it is suspicious. Whenever a dirty underhanded deal is done, we can always look to the Dems as the engineers because they have so much practice that they have the manufacture of dirty deals down to a science.

Precisely.

They "were true to their principles" and thwarted their Speaker, and now will vote "Yes" on something even worse.

I thought "Plan B" was a stupid idea to begin with, and that blame goes to Boehner. He had Obama agreeing to a tax increase on those making over $500K, plus Obama had agreed to modest entitlement reform, and taking sequester out of the equation. That deal also had the $200 Billion giveaway to the 99er "unemployed", but so does this "deal."

Great, isn't it? Now, we still gut the military in 8 weeks, taxes go up, and there is zero entitlement reform. Oh, and the Democrats were able to get "tuition tax breaks" for "low income" Obama voters. I am still now sure what new welfare program this entails, but I am sure it is costly and forever.
