It’s easy to understand why Preppers are hated so much by the lamestream media....

They are self-reliant, generally distrustful of government and consevative in thought....

Everything a liberal isn’t....

Let those morons think what they want. When things get bad and they are not able to survive it, I really don’t give a sh*t. We need a good cleansing, if you know what I mean.

Since the GOP-e is completely deaf to conservatism, perhaps a third party would now be successful. (I don't say this lightly since I was not a fan previously.)

It would need to be politely devious. It would require a two-pronged Alinsky-styled attack on both existing parties.

The more clever of the bunch would have to figure out how to "freeze", then successfully mock the other two parties.

There would have to be some kind of successful outreach to the low-information voter, and those who get their news from Stephen Colbert, Jay Leno, or Chris Matthews. Maybe legacy icons from both parties - those who had their precepts abandoned by their own parties - could be used.

Features of 'successful' presidents on both sides of the aisle should be examined. If there are any conservative Democrats left, talk to them. Shun all RINOs.

Can't call it the 'TEA Party' since that has been successfully destoyed with the help of both parties and the media.

Flame away!

“Preppers” mess up the liberal/left’s “eschatology”.

They have a utopia/dystopia in mind where everyone is “equal”, equally miserable. This is the “all in the same boat” eschatology, and they view it as a “good thing”.

That some can feed themselves through a crisis and others can’t messes that up.

No need for the flamethrower; you hit the nail on the head.

I like “Doomsday Preppers”. The producers usually don't voice their disagreement with them until the end of the show when they say something like “Bill and Jane are preparing for a collapse of the financial market and the consequences of people not have access to their daily essentials. Our experts agree that a financial collapse is highly unlikely.”

the society is at a greater risk to their own government, than domination from a foreign intruder

By some estimates, the total human population throughout history is about 10 billion. RJ Rummel of the University of Hawaii (I believe that's his school) has documented that roughly 300 million people have been murdered by governments, NOT including war deaths.

That means that of everyone who has ever been born, 3 percent of them were murdered by governments. That's certainly a much larger death toll than geeky, mentally ill guys with a high capacity semi-automatic will be able to rack up within the next few millenia.

When people ask me why I need an "assault weapon", that's one of the first things that crosses my mind, but most people, and nearly all liberals, have trouble comprehending the meaning of the comment above.

What doesn’t help is the image that preppers put out by having those stupid arsed shows. Most of us that prep are not goobers that cannot read or write. Those shows do nothing but paint preppers (albeit conservatives) as gun toting morons who cannot form a sentence and shy a chromosome or something.

Same way middle class white men have been re-defined by the slew of shows that always have the male lead as a waffling, scared of his wife, pop music listening, slob or bean pole screw-up married to an overbearing hottie. He always seems to wear the latest Hollister slob looking clothes or a civil servant uniform. The kids in the shows don’t respect him and he is always painted out to be out of touch and weak. Lump in all those stupid movies about Vegas vacations and jackass movies. Even when a “man” is portrayed he is often proven in the show to be wrong or someone who is on a hair trigger.

What do you think the purpose of those shows IS?

It’s not the “preppers” that are making those shows.
It’s agenda driven producers that are doing it.
And, they’ll pick the people and the cuts that reflect that agenda.

Jack Spirko (survival podcast) refuses to have anything to do with them,
and urges all his listeners to do the same.

And do not forget any man of the cloth. If they show a priest or preacher, he is just reciting the lines at a wedding or funeral.

I think "Gran Torino" was the last time I saw a man of the cloth having any moral bearing on the plot.

NatGeo is trying to straddle getting advertising dollars while bashing preppers. It was blatant the first time I saw the show.

My point.

Someone like the Kochs or another conservative leaning 1%’er needs to buy or create a mainline network that portrays libs in every show as stupid for a change. I would watch it all day long.

Even the History Channel, A&E, NatGeo, and Discovery jumped the shark years ago and put on crap now that is so obviously skewed it is unreal.

Don’t forget to add commercials to your list. The latest on the radio is some guy excited over some wireless printer that prints from his various devices at various locations in his home while his wife/narrartor explains the scenerio with dripping patience. Kinda like the ad with the long suffering wife and the slacker hammock napping husband in the background...wife says *sorry girls, he’s taken*. LOLOLOL... sorry bad example that one still makes me laugh.

While Black males are shown as the bright, with-it, masculine guys with the blonde on his arm.
The 40 year war against White males has definately been won. (Ahem, guess who's next.)

I may be going out on a limb here, but I don't think it would be that hard to successfully mock either major party. The challenge is to include enough informative content that the campaign produces better voters and not just sympathetic voters. The power in DC is seductive.

This expresses my first thoughts about the Preppers TV program. I saw how well this could work to discredit and even demonize anyone who prepares for independence and survival. This also ducks the REAL issues that preppers need to prepare for.

I think the current programs about the Amish are doing the same hit-job. Amish present very similar problems for Statists/tyrants, difficulty in controlling them. I’m not saying there aren’t Amish problems, because it is made up of human beings. I’m saying that they have singled out the individuals and problems that can be used to destroy their reputation and have focused on them.

The demonization and idiotification (is that a real word?) of the white American male started several years ago in advertising and entertainment, and is now official dogma in most universities.

The American Protestant white male is a special breed who presents the greatest threat to tyranny. Ten generations of that is in my DNA. It’s who I am.

Resumed stocking up on can ggods and other non-perishables last weekend. .22 LR rounds are really scarce - WalMart ammo shelves mostly empty and no .22s for a month or so. Found some at a pawn shop and bought their limit of 5 50-paks ($3.50 a box or twice what the value paks were going for); will have to go back Weds and do it again if they’re not out.
