A heavyset Hispanic woman — seen by five witnesses pacing and mumbling to herself — pushes a helpless man in front of an oncoming Flushing-bound No. 7 train in Queens. She was caught on tape while fleeing the crime scene: police. A MAN WAITING for an approaching No. 7 train in Queens died a gruesome death Thursday night when a young woman darted up behind the helpless straphanger and pushed him onto the tracks, police said.

The unidentified victim was crushed by the first and second cars of the Flushing-bound train about 8 p.m, as his murderer hustled down the stairs of the elevated station at the 40th St./Lowery St. stop in Sunnyside and fled in an unknown direction on Queens Blvd.

The suspect, described by police as a heavyset Hispanic woman in her 20s, was still at large as of early Friday.

It's time for us to have rational discussions about dealing with fat psychotic Latinas. Perhaps if the el over Queens Blvd wasn't built 100 yrs ago this tragedy could've been prevented.

How did those cowardly spectators let her get away? Didn’t want to get involved? Unbelievable.

We just need to limit daily caloric intake, it is obvious that some overweight people are driven to violence. A good first step would be to outlaw Hostess Twinkies.

Whenever I travel on the DC or NY subway, I always stay against the wall, preferably in middle sections of platforms with a divider or some natural barrier.

situational awareness.

Thankfully, the unions have destroyed this evil symbol of reactionary oppression. Ding Dongs and Ho Hos were not spared either. It is all for the good of the people.

Because they’re desensitized and didn’t want to get sued. Piece of sh*t. I believe in karma, and this will come back to get them eventually.

Look when I lived in NY the first thing we did was never stand that close to the tracks when on the platform. We stood against the wall. Many things we did back then such as wear no Jewelry and keep eyes open at all times. Just saying!

Here in NYC, if you see someone mumbling to themselves and pacing, you generally stay away from them. It was a last minute attack, happening too fast for someone to intervene. It I was there, odds are I would’ve chased her.

Sounds like she should be in one of those mental institutions Liberals had closed down a while ago.

Maybe Nanny Bloomberg now will require gates on the platform edges to prevent people getting pushed or falling, and the gates will open only at designated spots where the subway doors open once the train arrives.

Or one should rather say she is still at "extra-extra large". Hopefully though they will nail this psycho.

"Congress needs to ban subway trains to stop these murders. "

Maybe they should lower the speed limit to 0.5 mph or so.

They could also only let passenger get off the trains, not on.

Hi Annie! I was just going to post — they’ve been trained to not do anything, after the shootings, etc. etc. — where the police and goobt advises people not to do anything but cower and run.

I lived on Okinawa when the earthquake of 2011 hit Japan. I lived on marine base one block from the east china sea... I heard the sirens wail and knew I had to find out what was going on and evaluate the safety of my current location. Many of my friends and neighbors were completely oblivious for at least 30 minutes after the sirens. It seems that people everywhere lack situational awareness. Taking a survey of his surroundings may have saved this man’s life. Perhaps we all walk around in a state of self absorption.

That being said our culture is promoting behaviors that lead to widespread mental illness with very few mechanisms for treatment and ideally prevention available... unless we get our collective act together these types of stories will multiply
