Free gun training will do them no good, unless they’re also allowed to carry those guns to school. Hopefully, there will also be heavy background and psychological tests for those teachers; wouldn’t want the next school shooter to be a deranged teacher.
Well, that rules out all democRATs.
I believe UT does allow ccw’s in schools. I don’t know how widespread the law is, but it does include colleges and its students.
I do not know if one can carry legally in Utah k-12 schools, but I do know for a fact that one can carry on college campuses in that State. My daughter, FReeper PowerBaby, goes to USU. She tells me that it is quite common for students to be carrying on campus. Logan happens to be one of the safest college towns in America.
They can carry in Utah schools if they have CCW permits.
“wouldnt want the next school shooter to be a deranged teacher.”
Give me a break... If you can’t trust them with a gun, why would you trust them with our children or grand children?
Hopefully, there will also be heavy background and psychological tests for those teachers; wouldnt want the next school shooter to be a deranged teacher.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Why? The 2nd amendment says nothing about heavy background and psychological tests. In Vermont there is no restriction or application needed for concealed carry and the state is very peaceful, no whackadoodles stage shootouts. The bad part there is that schools are “gun free “ zones, which should not be tolerated by Vermonters one bit.It just invites anty potential crazed shooter to wade in for a little target practice.Any teacher who wants to have a concealed weapon in a classroom lock up should be able to have that, no conditions whatsoever, no questions asked. That goes double for any school that is a so called “gun free” zone, which is nothing but a shooting gallery for the mentally ill.
Teachers should meet bi monthly for firearms training on a weekend.
