The Obama administration's chief environmental watchdog, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, is stepping down after a nearly four-year tenure marked by high-profile brawls over global warming pollution, the Keystone XL oil pipeline, new controls on coal-fired plants and several other hot-button issues that affect the nation's economy and people's health.

Like others on this thread, I agree that her replacement will be far worse, if that is possible.

"In my own opinion she was as incompetent as any of them ~ which is not at all surprising. Frankly, all of them have been pretty bad and should now be sitting in a federal prison."

Excellent summation, however Congress has allowed the EPA to become judge, jury and executioner of our nation's business activity by their failure to excercise oversight under the Congressional Review Act.

DOJ gets most of the head lines for their selective use - or non use - of laws.

But the real scary department IMHO, freedom wise - is the EPA.

They have no legislative checks and are obviously on a mission

To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, the closest thing on Earth to eternal life is a government agency or program.

Absolutely...Many heads should roll over that debacle and I wouldn't be surprised if that's why she's leaving. Obama's praise for her says he knew all about it and probably condoned it.

Another non qualified affirmative action hire now can live off her government pension and the graft she accumulated in her 4 years (48 months) of government service for the rest of her life.

“Is she going to be replaced by Al Gore?”

You shouldn’t even be thinking that.

He’s probably under consideration for the job...

I think you nailed it.
I have some experience with Jackson from when she was the NJ DEP commissioner. She has a reputation amongst the Libs as an administrator who introduces many initiatives but is ineffective at actually getting them adopted into law. She was so inept, that I know of several NJ business groups that were sad to see her leave the DEP for the EPA job.

In the fall of 2009, a local elevator, located at least 5 miles from any house, was sited for multiple violations concerning ‘coarse particulate matter’. (Dust from a gravel drive way. Musta been an easy target to ‘use as an example’)

Add me to your list.
From an ideology standpoint; Jackson is as left wing as it gets, but she is inept in her administrative skills. They will replace her with someone who will be more aggressive and effective in advancing the lib agenda.

Progressive Wallahs withdraw their fat wad against America.

Experts fear radical Progressives will unleash waves of terror attacks on America in response to their Wallahs' decision.

Keep an eye on her bank account. She, no doubt, is the recipient of a HUGE payoff, courtesy of the taxpayers. Remember the Agriculture Secretary who ran the Pigford scam? She and her husband were rewarded bigtime. Just another exampe of Obama spreading the wealth around.

Congress should continue their 'investigation' into her bogus "Richard Windsor' (and others) E-mail accounts anyway.

I'll bet this is why she's leaving; there's shady stuff in those accounts and she doesn't want to face Congress.

Like you, I hope they do the investigation anyway. She'll probably get "a concussion" too.
