GOP in Congress need to remind CA reps and senators that their state is in financial trouble. Start screwing with our core values and kiss future aid to state when it hits financial cliff goodbye. Make sure CA dies financially. If CA silicon valley screams, tell them to move to NV or TX!
***I dont recall getting fingerprinted when I purchased my firearms.***
I used to get fingerprinted to buy a gun in Tulsa, OK years ago. OKC was worse.
They finally realized fingerprinting did nothing so stopped it.
BTTT
These people are all over the map.
I think we need to ban assault democrats.

I’m catching a drift that per usual with the reactionary type that get their info from the paycheck conservatives about this bill (”I obey authority”).
Here is the deal folks, Feinswine and her gaggle of idiots are desperate for the payceck CONservatives to sign on to any of this, got it? This whole bill is a joke begging to be ignored like my above samples.
The best the anti-gunners can do is to get cooperation from the paychecks, the second best they can do is shut down the gun industry and turn us into Mexico or Jamaica where the criminals and the state do the gunning (but guns are ever present)
Correction accepted.
Please see # 30 above.
wouldn’t that be racist? /s
Imagine being the man whose duty it is to service this arrogant, little troll every night...
So mad the US re-elected Obama? I don’t think people are mad.
“Dedicated funding for ATF to implement registration”
In an era of trillion dollar federal deficits, this raises a question of best use of finite government resources. If history is any guide, few people who already own any of the estimated 100 million such magazines in private hands can be expected to turn them in. Aren’t we better off allocating our money to improve school safety rather than fund a war on newly-outlawed firearm accessories?
I would remind people that while we are now having a “national conversation” on firearms regulations, we have yet to have a similar conversation about what changes we must make to the treatment of citizens with mental health issues, not to mention how we are going to fund any changes that we decide to make.
I would also remind people that the ATFE is a dangerously dysfunctional agency. The have had immense problems with the integrity of the NFA registry and have caused people a lot of expense and possible criminal prosecution due to their incompetence. The horror stories would send chills up your spine.
Her bill is clearly meant to be filed and not much else. Even so, strange (and mostly bad) things happen when nobody is watching.
Let’s hope they get a vote on it so we have them on record prior to the 2014 midterms.
Pardon the correction, but this is one of the largest falsehoods spread across the internet. It was the Weimar regime in 1928 that registered, banned, then confiscated weapons. They did so in an effort to prevent the rise of the SA Voran "Brown Shirts" which were the National Socialist Party.
The 1928 law was subsequently extended in 1938 under the Third Reich (this action being the principal point in support of the contention that the Nazis were advocates of gun control). However, the Nazis were firmly in control of Germany at the time the Weapons Law of 1938 was created. Further, this law was not passed by a legislative body, but was promulgated under the dictatorial power granted Hitler in 1933.

What we can see here is a more sadistic version of what happened in 1928 and subsequently 1933. Sen. Feinstein and her ilk are hell-bent on subjugating the citizens of these United States and would be one of the first to grant dictatorial powers to her saviour BHO.
Thank you for the correction!
Next time, I will make a better argument premised upon more accurate information!
Nice Biblical infusion.
That was Barbara Boxer.
The one characteristic will be that Feinstein thinks it looks like an assault weapon.
Yeah .... Obama supposedly had little chance of being re-elected too.
DOA.
Looks like this bit of news on Drudge single handedly killed a Sturm Ruger rally today. Damn!
i hope it is but don’t trust em.
It’s not meant to pass. It’s meant for bargaining. The GOP feels like they need to do something. 20 dead kids guarantees something will be done. They’ll pass a watered down version that will still take a big chunk out of our rights. The next time a bunch of kids get killed by some loony lefty, a bigger chunk will be taken.
Might as well use the source of all truth as it applies.
I want to see a list of what weapons are on the banned list, it better not have the word Glock anyplace on it.
The argument was well met and the parallels are striking if not a bit twisted in their delivery. I simply find the need for accuracy in the argument to be paramount because liberals will use any inaccuracy against us.
It’s their first offer. The RINOs will counter. Hi cap mags, bulk ammo, Black rifles, registration, money for buy back. They’ll take out all the registration for existing owners. Some crap like that.
DiFi’s last AWB gave us the Republican Revolution of 1994.
I can’t find the list of banned or “grandfathered” firearms but would be very surprised if Glock wasn’t on the banned list.
I cannot in good faith comply with any kind of new gun control. The Obama administration has shown total contempt of the process of law and the Constitution. In return, I am showing total contempt for this administration.
I will not surrender my firearms, magazines, or ammunition. Sorry, it’s not happening. If they want to force the issue, well, that’s on them. They just better be prepared for the major poop storm that will ensue should they try it.
Don't forget that military pistols fire 9mm and .45cal rounds. A very military characteristic.
You should request the comment get pulled by the mod.
What value will knowing the date and the gun store that sold it new produce?
I've had that exact thought, and agree with your entire post. Even though we know FineSwine is an arrogant liberal POS, she's not entirely stupid. She has to know that not even a majority of the liberal crazies in the Senate will sign on to this, since it includes not just "assault weapons" but also handguns. None of her Senate colleagues are going to sign onto that and risk their re-election in 2014, much less the Congress, where they're even more vulnerable.
On Free Republic, I feel that I am among friends. That being the case, I have a tendency to ‘shoot from the hip’ and go by memory, rather than doing the type of diligence that I might for an formal treatise. When an off-the-cuff remark is found to be wrong, I am delighted to receive correction, as long as such correction is not exploited to attack sound portions of my argument.
In other words, this forum is more of a brainstorming session than a venue to publish polished essays. Unless someone else is offended, I am fine with the notion that I have been corrected in two instances on this thread.
Please feel free to have my comment and any subsequent explanations ‘pulled’ if they bother you.
He knows that gun control is the one issue that could unify all his enemies.
“What it IS, is the first salvo to drum up public interest.”
It certainly has drummed up a HUGE public interest and desire to purchase firearms and magazines.
No recession in gun shops these days.
Protects legitimate hunters and the rights of existing gun owners by:
Grandfathering weapons legally possessed on the date of enactment
Tricky writing;
On the day of enactment,those guns will be illegal
I wonder how many of these "assault weapons" were sold to the Mexican Mafia by the ATF?
If this outrageous so-called law passes, the Texas secession movement should spread like a wildfire on the prairie.
The coming NWO has to disarm us....yet, so many refuse to see things as they really are.
People refuse to believe that government and the media are direct agents of the dark side.
“Requires that grandfathered weapons be registered under the National Firearms Act, to include:
Background check of owner and any transferee;
Type and serial number of the firearm;
Positive identification, including photograph and fingerprint;
Certification from local law enforcement of identity and that possession would not violate State or local law; and
Dedicated funding for ATF to implement registration”
Go s*** in your hats Dems.
I just read it. I’m having a Ted Nugent moment...
DING! DING! DING!
We have a winner!
This is SOP for the libtards. Shoot for the moon, but do so knowing that it will never pass muster. The REAL goal is to get something through. This will be some sort of “compromise” that the RINO’s will go for after being hammered for not caving on the “fiscal cliff” crapola. After failing to do anything, the MSM will hammer the RINO’s and the “public” will go nuts after that first paycheck has taxes galore plucked out. The RINO’s will be forced to cave on that and then DiFi and her ilk will start in on this bill. They will wail and moan that “something” will have to be done and the result will be some kind of compromise bill that will be hailed as wonderful, but won’t do a damn thing to stop crime.
I would expect something along the lines of a watered down AWB bill that will also include something about ammo. Right now in NC you can’t buy more than than 2 boxes of ammo at one time, and prices are going through the roof, so I expect maybe a one box limit and some kind of “tax” being pushed to force ammo prices up.
About the only thing that will save us is the mood of the country. Right now even the liberals who put the Vacationer-In-Chief back in office realize that they are on their own W/R/T protecting their families. Gun sales are going nuts right now and any sort of “ban” will surely force even more to start buying. Right now the country isn’t buying the whole “ban” mantra from the libtard politicians, so as long as they fail to sway people, things should be OK.
Still, with the SCOTUS we have now, I don’t trust ANYTHING going before them. Roberts has already sold us out on Obamacare, so I don’t put a lot of faith in those idiots protecting our rights should something come before them.
and I will be returning home right quick.
Yes but there is another reason as well. They need stuff like this to distract the masses from the failed economy and high unemployment rate. Sure they want it to pass. And to your point they are aware it may take a while to get it done. And even it doesn't pass now they can take advantage of this "crisis" to make it appear they are actually doing something and distract from their record.
