I expect a crummy deal which avoids sequestration.

Ha ha ha. Yes it seems like in the final analysis Mr. Obozo doesn’t want to lose any government employees - after all even RIFed employees get to keep their current pay status for two years after the reduction in force.
Hows that for job security? Believe me not a dime will be saved. The orgy of spend, spend, spend will continue with the Redpublicans as willing enablers.

Every time his excellency flies across the country there is always the chance he gets memorialized on Mt Rushmore, at 650mph.

Michelle probably told him to get lost and he decided to do so, so as not to ruin the kid’s vacation. Michelle and Barack are like oil and water now. Their marriage has been over for months. Michelle’s been absent from many important events.
To: Cheerio
I wouldn’t be surprised if his decision had more to do with the first lady and he having marital issues and her wanting to be away from him, so she sends him packing.

Geez, this is so friggin simple...
He can't blame the GOP if he isn't pretending to work on it.

This is a sure sign the polling has started to flip and more people are going to blame Obama.

Except the real Bob Denver was probably a hard worker, had at least three television series.

Obama on Mount Rushmore would be the ultimate verification of “white gulit,” which is particularly strong in the eastern, Midwestern, and Virginia suburbs.

If Boehner could grow a set of balls or just rent some for the time it would take to call a press conference, I would suggest this to him. Call a full press conference and just state “President Obama has said he has met us over half way on spending cuts. Well, Mr. Obama the house of Representatives along with what I would estimate to be a vast majority of tax payers would like to see exactly your spending cut proposals in writing. A good place to start would be the federally mandated budget that is supposed to proposed and approved but both the House and the Senate. We have not had a budget approved and voted into law since 2009, the first year you took office. Once we receive the proposed budget we can actually determine exactly how serious you and you fellow democrats are on budget cuts and base the negotiations off of that.”

I would be happy to see a Republican - any Republican - to stand up and hold everyone else accountable to the $100 billion in spending cuts they promised 16 months ago in exchange for the $2.5 trillion increase in new debt our Republican House granted them. This $2.5 trillion debt ceiling increase was somehow supposed to be offset by $0.1 trillion in spending cuts, yet our cowards in Congress can't even move themselves to stick by the spending cuts already promised.
And to make matters, worse, they have already gone through the $2.5 trillion (which effectively bought the election for the Democrats). With Republicans as our friends, who needs enemies? I long for a day when we have actual adults making adult decisions in our halls of government again. Until then, to hell with these Republican Congressman and Senators posing to be conservatives. We've seen $6 trillion in wealth stolen from the people of this nation through an expansion of our money supply over the last four years, yet these idiots are squabbling over four percentage points of tax increase that will cover less than 8% of our current deficit? To hell with them all!
If the Republican leadership in our House is really interested in saving our country, then they will not allow an increase in the debt ceiling. Anything else is high treason.

The scariest part is that our GOP led House is going to give it to them. Since January 2011, we have had the ability to stop Obama in his tracks. Yet our GOP House has voted to continue spending at the same levels set by Obama/Pelosi/Reid in 2009, including any and all funding for ObamaCare. In addition, they voted to increase our debt ceiling by $2.5 TRILLION. And if you go back and look at the actual roll call vote, you will see that more Democrats actually voted AGAINST that rather than for it.
Republican are idiots. I now see why they are called 'the stupid party'.

Boner said in public what I told him privately. I get 800 billion for free. He told people I said that, and for that he will pay. Now how to negotiate in bad faith without being so blatant...hmmmmmmm...make it look like he’s the bad guy....

We have seen this kabuki dance beforeAll smoke and mirrors to keep the talk off the debt ceiling. IMO that's what Obama is coming home for.

I would love to see a member of the SS Presidential detail defect and tell the nation what this one man freak show really does behind closed doors. My guess is that he is a crack-addicted sodomite with an affinity for older white men.
