A U.S. Army brigade will begin sending small teams into as many as 35 African nations early next year, part of an intensifying Pentagon effort to train countries to battle extremists and give the U.S. a ready and trained force to dispatch to Africa if crises requiring the U.S. military emerge.

I feel bad for our soldiers serving in combat zones under the command of this regime. The rules of engagement are bad enough but these cowards will turn their back on our soldiers when their lives are on the line. Words like honor, sacrifice, dedication and duty mean nothing to pantywaist politicians.

Sounds like a excellent training opportunity for the new, openly homosexual soldiers. I’m all in favor.

Terrorists in 35 countries get training in modern warfare by fighting our troops as test subjects. They don't care if they lose 100 to 1. The survivors will train the rest in what does and doesn't work against American soldiers.

Then after we evacuate from multiple countries they all become terrorist strongholds, Afghanistans x 35 pouring their fanatics across Africa and into the well worn immigration road to Europe and the Baltic countries, completing the invasion already in progress and then focusing attention on Russia. Western Europe is already flooded with Muslims fulfilling a support role, whether they mean to or not. They become the safe houses and bases of operation for the real terrorists we are helping to train.

What do you think the purpose is, of wars we are not allowed to win? Of insanely restrictive orders of operation? To win hearts and minds?

Obama has begun this same process with us...Thousands from Terrorist-Sponsoring Nations Entering US on "Diversity Visas"

Just being pessimistic, I suppose...who knows, maybe it'll end up with African democracy and liberty and happy peaceful pygmys riding skittle pooping unicorns across the land.../s

More missions.....less money. Let’s send the food stamp recipients over there. Earn that money.

Kenya must be saved to become the fifty first state. Then he can declare himself retroactively eligible for the Presidency

The goal is to get as much of the military out of the country as possible. They won't be able to vote or to quell a martial law takeover using... "a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as well funded as the military."

Just think, he could start by populating schools with unionized Federal police!

“Gen. Carter Ham, the top U.S. commander in Africa, noted that the brigade has a small drone capability that could be useful in Africa. But he also acknowledged that he would need special permission to tap it for that kind of mission.

“’If they want them for (military) operations, the brigade is our first sourcing solution because they’re prepared,’ said Gen. David Rodriguez, the head of U.S. Army Forces Command. ‘But that has to go back to the secretary of defense to get an execute order.’”

Looks like they are waiting for an “execute order” to employ kamikaze mini-drones, like Switchblade, on the Saharan and Sub-Saharan Islamists.

http://defense-update.com/20110902_switchblade.html

“The Switchblade air vehicle launches from a small tube that can be carried in a backpack and transmits live color video wirelessly for display on AeroVironment’s standard small unmanned aircraft system (UAS) ground control unit. Upon confirming the target using the live video feed, the operator then sends a command to the air vehicle to arm it and lock its trajectory onto the target. Flying quietly at high speed the Switchblade delivers its onboard explosive payload with precision while minimizing collateral damage. With the ability to call off a strike even after the air vehicle is armed, Switchblade provides a level of control not available in other weapon systems.”

The US must realize that as it employs drones against Islamists, Islamists will learn how to employ them as asymmetric weapons against us, as the have so frequently done with other technology before (see my tag line).

Using Special Forces would make at least SOME sense, because their primary mission involves working with, and training, local forces. It would be good experience for SF team members.

Sending people with no training in the subject? Not so much

nothing more than planned failure

Perhaps that loud mouth skank Medea Benjamin should be all pissed off that her Marxist lout Obama is engaging in more wars. Instead she interrupts Wayne LaPierre and wants to strip the rights of Americans.

We also won’t know if any of our troops die in these African war efforts. The media simply won’t report it.

Us old vets well remember in the early 60’s when “advisers” were sent to Viet Nam to “train” their army.

Gee whiz! Guess what that turned out to be and how many Americans were killed for a totally useless military action where the communist “kicked our ass” due to micro-management from Washington.

So, it begins again. It’s even worse this time since the only reason we are going into Africa is due to our African President’s devotion to his home country and relatives.
