Now the NY Firemen know how we felt during the Fireman's Strike in Memphis, Tennessee, in July 1978. We were paraded around in uniform with M-16s that didn't even have bullets. Every time a fire broke out there were shooters and we were supposed to protect them.

Canandaigua, N.Y. —

Police have swarmed an area on Lake Road near the Outlet Bridge in Webster.

Emergency crews were originally called to the area for the report of a structure fire.

Currently, Monroe County sheriff's deputies and the SWAT team are on scene, along with multiple fire crews.

You can see the location on google maps .... securing the scene is going to be really, really difficult. The neighbors are in a pickle if they have to evacuate due to the fire spreading with an active shooter somewhere in the area.

I agree with SumProVita that it is sin. For all our 'progress' and amazing technology, the fundamental problems with people still exist. We are broken, fallen people. all of us and there is no hope of repair with in ourselfs. C.S. Lewis summed up Christmas like this "The son of God became a man so that men could become the sons of God."

This is a special, significant Christmas. What I think you are seeing is Satan throwing a fit because his time is short. Jesus is comming back and sooner than many of us think. If you haven't done it yet, give Him your heart. Let Him fix it like no one else can.

Yup. I am quite proud that our local school refused to close on Friday amid a flood of threats made all across the state. They said that they didn't believe the threats were credible and would not be rewarding bad behavior. They pointed out that there are some 30 separate school buildings in this county and not one has EVER had a shooting.

LE blocked off the bridge and the area of Lake Road to the east of the fire so no one could get in or out. People who wished to leave their homes were secured in a bus on sight.
