Gun ownership is much freer in France and Germany. The British Olympic team has to leave the country to practice. And the UK had to give a “special dispensation” (the mark of tryanny) to be able to host the London Olympics.

And Britains gun grab was purely a British thing that happened in the mid 90s when the EU was nothing. They did it in response to two or three mass shootings. It is akin to the Aussia ban. BUt it wasnt in response to the EU. Otherwise how to explain much more liberal German and French gun laws. (liberal by european standards)

And their idea of Habeas Corpus is not anything an American would recognize. They can arrest you for “suspicion”. Meaning, the think you are up to something, arent sure what, and want to dig ito who and what you are.
I saw this happen to a man wearing camo, at night, in a public park. They arrested him, and could hold him as long as they were still checking him out. The onoly requirement was at the 72 hr mark a judge had to sign off on it. And that was a meaningless routine proceedure in which the prisoner never even appeared.

England is a tyranny, about 1% worse than the EU by almost every measure. And the EU is almost as bad. There are no good guys across the atlantic and true freedom is unknown if that means people controlling their nation. And these days, British conservatives are basically irrelevant politically.

Gun bans in Britain were the left’s response to IRA terrorism. As is the original distortion of habeas corpus. (The left, who tacitly supported the IRA, also does not like to point out how they and Israel share living under the same menace; but the IRA always said they and the PLO shared “one struggle”.)
