Several conservative House Republican members are contemplating a plan to unseat Speaker John Boehner from his position on January 3, Breitbart News has exclusively learned. Staffers have compiled a detailed action plan that, if executed, could make this a reality.
The Republicans, both conservatives and more establishment members alike, are emboldened after the failure of Boehner’s fiscal cliff “Plan B” on Thursday evening. Dissatisfaction with Boehner is growing in the House Republican conference, but until now there hasn’t been a clear path forward.
Those members and staffers requested anonymity from Breitbart News at this time to prevent retaliation from Boehner similar to what happened to those four members who were purged from their powerful committee assignments a few weeks ago. Their expressed concern is that if Boehner knew who they were, his adverse reaction toward them would be much more brutal than losing committee assignments, such as a primary challenge in 2014 by a leadership-sponsored candidate.

You are lucky with him. We have Rick Scott who is not PR strong. Scott is going to lose the Governorship I predict, and fear of all fears is another term with jackass Charlie Crist! I am hating the GOP!
My additional suggestions on a new Speaker-candidate:
1. Need to have somebody either in a “safe” seat. On principle, I would argue against having someone from outside the House, given that we should really have an elected official - more accountable (at least that’s the theory).
2. Bulldog personality. Won’t back down from any interviewer on any subject.
3. A communicator. Can present their vision in ‘soundbite’-sized phrases. An unfortunate part of the world we’re now in.
4. Someone not inclined to start running for President any time soon.
Newt "Conservatives-are-going-to-have-to-accept-marriage-equality" Gingrich? Nope, not for me, not anymore.
The other night, Greta asked Newt if John Boehner is in trouble. He said of course not, it's just a disagreement and it will blow over.

The strategy in the house should be to systematically oppose/obstruct the entire Obama agenda. Working together with Obama will not make Republicans any more popular with the electorate. But when the economy nosedives, everyone will share the blame. Republicans should just oppose everything and take the heat that will come from the MSM as a badge of honor.
Bachmann would be Obama’s worst nightmare. She is smart and just won a tough race after getting redistricted by the democrats in a deep blue state. She is exactly what we need right now.

Not compromising on Obama’s part has led to this so thank you Mr. Obama.
Remember, both Republican and Democrat members of the House elect the Speaker. So we could end up getting someone even worse!
I'd say give it to Paul Ryan or someone who has deep Tea Party roots. Tim would be great, IMO
Reagan did it, and the American people loved him for it. His presidency was historical. The man took 49 states!
He was polite, upbeat, stuck to the subject, stuck to his principals, and defeated their Alinski tactics every time because of it. That's all it takes.

This is obviously the House GOP members “Plan-B” as in “Plan-Boehner!” to get rid of the current speaker. I’m so sorry.. I couldn’t help myself.
Has Noot been able to develop any leadership skills over the past 14 years? He certainly didn’t exhibit any during the 90s.
Personally, I think the Pubbies in the House, should offer, and pass, a tax cut for everyone and pass it to the Senate and see what happens.
Surely, the Senate and the Bowmeister wouldn't object to a tax cut for everyone, would they? If they objected and wouldn't put it to a vote, well then, the Bush tax RATES go by the wayside and everyone gets a tax increase. Just sayin'...
If this path is followed then let’s hope that it is not like the vote in 2006 where the republicans sh*t the bed big time by not supporting the most effective majority leader (Shadegg) in place of the most popular (Boehner). Smart money says that the republicans will drop the ball, yet, once again.
The GOP House desperately needs to draw the line at continuing this sham of a budget "process" where last year's departmental budgets are automatically expanded by X or Y% and the House and Senate have no responsibility.
A new Speaker would be advised to pass a tax & spennding measure, send it to the Senate...and go into recess. Once the Senate acted on the bill and an "as amended" version was ready for Conference Committee, the House would then go back into session and a proper budget would emerge.
Given the specifications in the Constitution, the House would be fully justified in taking such drastic action -- and the GOP would benefit from the cause celebre they had created.
