According to the San Francisco Chronicle, City Supervisor Malia Cohen is introducing the ordinance in response to last Friday’s deadly shooting in Connecticut of 20 school children. …

So you can’t buy a standard milk carton of 550 .22LR rounds without getting the police involved? They’re going to love that.

These fools have no idea how any of this is going to make anyone safer, they’re just throwing anything they can think of that is anti-2A to see if it will stick.

Soooo....I’m guessing ammo stores outside San Fran are in for a bit of a sales boom.

Unintended consequences and all that.

The goal is to make it illegal to own any firearm in these United States, it’s feeding frenzy time for commies in America.

No hollow point ammo? Does that include the DHS and National Weather Service?

San Francisco: Home of if it feels good, do it.

This ordinance will only have one impact on the city of San Francisco, loss of business (and any related taxes).

The San Francisco bay area is know for its long commute. You think there is anyone that can not travel a few miles outside of the cities control and still buy the ammunition they want?

Even if a person does not have a car, BART will take them to the suburbs.

A silly law, by a silly person in a silly city.

One more reason to get out of CA. I’m absolutely 100% sure that this will do nothing to affect gang wars, drug wars, drive by shootings, domestic murders, etc.

BTW, this means if I buy nine boxes of .22LR (50 rds each), the cops don’t get called; but if I buy ONE box (525 rds.), the cops do get called. Makes perfect sense, if yor’re a dumba$$ politician with the IQ of a grape.

As usual - libs go for "expediency" vs. common sense. They always want to do something drastic and do it fast before the emotions wear off the event and some sense of sanity returns. I already have a couple of the value paks and plan on getting at least one more today - maybe the San Fran Fag can come out to MS and complain.

Heh.
If I lived there I'd go buy a brick or two every other day.
Just to annoy them.

And it can't hurt to have a few more thousand rounds of .22 long rifle...

Banning ammo purchases? Yet another “knee jerk” reaction in a place where I would never live yet along visit again.

"unintended consequences"

What???? you mean you seriously believe people who wanted more and bigger ammo would go outside S.F. to purchase them? Hmmmm....if you ask me (and even if you don't ask me) that sounds like an outlandish opinion. I suppose you also think people would travel outside their city, state, or country to buy other banned goods like liquor, fireworks, or larger toilets? Do you think people are governed by human nature or something? (snicker)

I doubt City Supervisor Malia Cohen has read Unintended Consequences. I guess sending a link to a PDF file would be considered a threat?

I stopped at WALMART yesterday and asked the sporting goods guy for a brick of .22 long rifle. They had sold out of ALL .22 ammo.

That is how they are going to get around 2nd amendment. You can own all the guns you want but getting ammo will be illegal. Gotta give liberals credit for coming up with something. Conservatives have been against abortion for years and can’t seem to come up a way to circumvent the situation to our liking. UGH! Come on conservatives, start playing their game.
