Any Leader who threatens their members with kicking them off chairmanships doesn’t deserve the power he has been given. Period!

This isn't coming directly from him, it's coming from his K Street handlers.

Raising our taxes is a leftist policy.

A question will all those who claimed that this tax cut bill was raising taxes be surprised when our taxes go up as a result of its defeat?
Any of them?

What boner and other rinos don’t get is that for the most part the Tea Party got promises from their candidates that they would not raise taxes.

OK, so you are a Tea Party candidate who won due to their efforts.

Maybe 500,000 people voted for you. If you follow boner, you have 500,000 who think (know) you are a liar.

Remember Bush and the “read my lips?. What happened to him?

The Tea Party got them elected, and what does the Tea Party stand for?

Taxed Enough Already.

Remember that chant at all of the early meetings?

Any Tea Party candidate who votes for any tax increase deserves to be tarred and feathered and ridden out on a rail, the way we did things 100 years ago.

Not because it is a good strategic move, or is not, but because of that thing called integrity.

It doesn't lower taxes, it lowers the rate of growth. They go up regardless.

I emailed my Conressman Tom Petri and told him the Republicans promised us no tax increases. Not for anyone-not even millionaires. I told him that the Tea Party is watching him and others in Wisconsin, and we will remember this vote.

The sad truth is that there are low-information Republican voters also.

RE :”Likely they are only a handful of votes short. They will work all night to get them.
I have no idea what the outcome will be but they will be working late to do their best to get this through. “

Sounds like they went into recess.

What party can accomplish anything when they are told they must raise taxes or be accused of raising taxes?

I would guess that next month Obama’s final terms of surrender to Republicans will be painful and humiliating.

But that's what cults like “See I told you so”

They are cheering on the Marxist channel right now, on Ed Schultz show. Their dirty work was done from the GOP inside.

So we'll see if the Tea Party Representatives vote to not send Boehner back as Speaker?

I hope so. Boehner is a failed Speaker. Pelosi said that she "smoked" him out.

Democrats were never good-faith negotiators during this entire process, and Boehner wasn't aware of that. He had blinders on that everyone's word was good. The Old School rules.

The problem is, once finding this out, he's still acting like everyone else are still good-faith actors.

Maybe Bonehead and Cantor can use water boarding on these folks.
Whatever it takes to get the right outcome for you.
I’m kind of hoping Bonehead kick about 16 more off committees .
If so, that loser won’t be speaker much longer.

But of course. I'm sure Obama is sending Boehner a case or two of Jameson as we speak.

In 2014, Bonehead definitely needs to be “primaried.”

Pelosi left her playbook behind and Bonehead thinks it’s a bible.

The 2014 round of primary challengers should feature a bunch of citizen-legislators, who won't give a $h!t about re-election or committes, and would vote based on their principles. And two years after that, a fresh batch of new faces (and so on).

I believe you are onto something. Perhaps a new round of retired professionals who are secure in their finances and do not need the income of the legislative career. We need principled conservatives, not people who are there for power or career. Dr Dan Benichek comes to mind . . we need more folks like bim.

I don't see how these same GOP House reps will agree to anything the President is in favor of.

Either they have to come up with a deal which gets House Dems on board, this current bill comes to the floor again, or we go over the cliff.

RE :”But of course. I'm sure Obama is sending Boehner a case or two of Jameson as we speak”

You missed the thread title : Bohners B bill was defeated, Our taxes go up now. Those that defeated it did the Dems dirty-work, as tax collectors for O as Pelosi was voting against it too.

All night there will be parties on the Marxist channel over this tax increase ON US that some Rs accomplished by killing this tax relief bill.
