Heck, when I was posting my Newt truth file (before I stopped after a ban threat), certain well-known posters were actually saying that Newt’s record before 2010 did not matter, that he had seen changed his mind about previous RINO positions, and that he was the best Conservative since Ronald Reagan. heck, just this past week, some folks here were pimping him as a replacement for Boner. Talk about foolish!

From the article: “Newt Gingrich said that conservatives will have to accept marriage equality after three more states this year voted to allow same sex marriage and more will likely do the same in the 2014 election.”

Three more states voted for it because there were TWO libs on the ballot.
If we would have had a CONSERVATIVE on the ticket, the base would have come out it droves and it would have failed in all three states.

I never understood this love for Newt. I always thought that his supporters were guilty of a willful suspension of disbelief. I well remember Newt stabbing conservatives in the back many times as Speaker. Is Newt still 100X better than Ovomit? Absolutely, but he’s not nearly good *enough*, IMO. Bob

I eman this my family and I will never accept it evenif we were the only people on this earth of which we are not and never will be.

To hell with these turd pokers, it;s sick and disgusting and certainly not healthy sex but to say theyre married and should get a hold of kids and raise them into that world is pure sick .

I am sick to death of us conservatives being stabbed in the back by these idiots which only think of themselves and their elitist cocktail DC parties pals.

To hell with them and all those who pretend to be conservative and then turn on us

same here, how many times are we conservatives going to be stabbed in the back and watch the left wing pass their agenda, enough is enough.

http://www.uhuh.com/nwo/communism/comgoals.htm

one only has to look at what their rules are and how much they have passed with our cowardly fools help.

Because of they feces in their sex they think they should be married and then have special rights, B/S.

If a state leave like SC, TX, I;m moving, I am just done with all of this now.

I fear that between ballot box fraud and demographic changes tilting the Electoral Map further and further away from the GOP, it may be a while before we ever see even a semi-conservative leader in the White House ever again.

I’d love for Texas or some other brave state to really make a go of it on their own. I’d uproot my whole family for such a cause. I fear the America may be too far gone at this point (Newt’s “awakening” on gay marriage is piece of evidence #23,498,021). But concentrating our efforts in one or two states, we could create a good and proper nation.

Irony of ironies.. imagine the new nation being more faithful to the Constitution than the leftover United States..

agreed, my family will all move even though we are rooted here.
I;msick of this crap by people like Newt, backstabbing us, lying to us and then appeasing the left.

The only reason the left has done so much of their rules is because of the cowards on our side who think if we agree with them on this then they and the media will like us.

http://www.uhuh.com/nwo/communism/comgoals.htm

when you think how much of their agenda they have passed then one has to take it seriously of thinking about a state or two leaving and going it alone.

Oh no, Nick. Rick undermined his own campaign by making several injudicious statements when “winging it” in speeches and interviews. Had Rick not screwed up, and he did a magnificent job on his shoestring budget, he’d have been our nominee. And, who knows? At least he wasn’t fearful of attacking Ovomit. To me, Romney was a very pleasant surprise, but he had hired absolute dolts as advisers who doomed his campaign. Bob

“And both times it was soundly defeated.”

Prop. 22 passed by 61.5% in 2000. Prop. 8 passed by 52% in 2008. If the guys in black robes deem to uphold prop.8, I bet they will simply try to repeal it with another popular vote. For their purposes all they need is 51%.

Newt is wrong about accepting or not politically fighting state recognition of ‘gay marriage.’ As a Catholic he should realize that the ‘gay marriage’ fight isn’t really about benefits that come from the state. He should realize its about using the state to punish those who aren’t going to buy into whatever impossible definition of marriage the state is using at the time. Gee Newt, what’s the biggest single target that is never going to accept things like ‘gay marriage?’

I don’t know if it is inevitable or not, but it doesn’t look too good, in my opinion. Think about this—Hawaii passed its amendment early on in the process, in ‘98 by 69%. NC passed one this year by 61%, matching Ca’s effort in 2000. Many hailed it as great victory. But if you would have told someone in 1990 that 40% of the NC voting public would think ‘gay marriage’ was possible and good, they would have thought you were wacked.

No idea what your point is. I do not agree with gay marriage. I was simply pointing out the fact that Gingrich is expressing the sentiment in this country regarding gay marriage. Many on this thread make it sound like he Newt invented homosexuality. He is smart enough to know the battles that can be fought and won, ths isn’t it.

Hmm...maybe you're on to something. What self respecting gay man would show up to the White House and accept a proposal from his longtime companion, wearing a ridiculously tailored ill-fitting suit with grey suede loafers?

Maybe he's just "confused".

What would a psychiatrist do?

Um, it's clear you don't have the whole "gay" thing down. Here, let me show you.

And it’s people like you whom are directly responsible for throwing the nomination to Romney, and re-electing Obama. You have no idea who I voted for - so until you do - zip the lip!

Wrong, Newt didn't fold. THE GOP has been folding and once again folded to the worst candidate possible. So, he's just telling The GOP has made up it's mind and SANTORUM folded to The GOP looong ago YET you voted for him anyway. SO YOU COULDN'T even see what was ALREADY ESTABLISHED so you had NO SIGHT for what was coming!

I have no time to waste on such ignorance and twisting of facts. I could listen to the liberal talking heads for that!

Really it depends. My wife's family are "staunch Catholics". They always vote dem.

However, we went to their house last week, and her dad brought up gay marriage (which passed in this state). Mind you, this is a retired union guy, who says roughly 3 words per week.

He was on fire about this issue. "It's unnatural", "It's wrong", "marriage has been around for thousands of years, and it was never about gays!"

And this from a guy who voted for Obama. I kept my big yapper shut. I'd never seen this mild-mannered guy so worked up about an issue.

Newt is correct on one account. Gay marriage opponents and "values voters" are a dying breed.

It doesn't mean we should just throw in the towel, though.

It IS hard to argue against a secular society that doesn't seem to "get" that there are REASONS, not "religious" for supporting traditional marriage.

Wish I could make my father-in-law understand that he is voting FOR gay marriage when he votes dem.

He doesn't seem to get the connection.

Isn’t it amazing that this pimp for Fannie Mae criminals, this stooge for the open borders amnesty crowd, this suck-up to the gay mafia, somehow got so many conservatives - and FReepers - to believe he was somehow one of us? I never did, and I am proud I fought this despicable fraud tooth and nail from start to finish this past cycle. Newton Leroy told me all I needed to know when he joined only 18 Rockefeller Republicans in 1978 to approve Jimmy Carter’s Department of Education. He is a big government, mastermind statist to the core, against everything we stand for: our Founding principles and Founding Morality.

Which Newt are we seeing in 2012?

Was he BS'ing in the '90s, or is he just some chameleon who changes with the times?

Is he just some empty suit?

A person with no core values, just a republican Bill Clinton?

Judaism teaches, “The righteous of all nations have a share in the world to come.”

The Seven Laws of the Children of Noah specifically prohibit homosexual sex acts.

The Talmud goes further, noting that non-Jewish societies are given credit for observing all of God’s Seven Laws if they meet three conditions, one of which is that they do not recognize homosexual ‘marriage’.

(The others are respecting the Torah and prohibiting the sale of human tissue.)

Romans 2 12-16 “For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.

For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus.”

*IOW if we have the law written universally in our hearts we all have a sort of spiritual DNA. Alter physical DNA and you get physical deformities and birth defects. Alter spiritual DNA...try to supplant God's natural law with your own, and you get recognizable spiritual "mutations" and "birth defects"...and I wonder if that is the real penalty of sin. Perhaps the idea of "becoming perfect" to enter the kingdom of heaven, has less to do with affecting our own change, but more to the point simply not messing around with God's plan, and it is faith that reboots our original programming? hmmm*
