Newt Gingrich said that conservatives will have to accept marriage equality after three more states this year voted to allow same sex marriage and more will likely do the same in the 2014 election.

The former Speaker of the House said he didn

Well well well. The chameleon changes colors yet again. This time to brown, the color of feces.

Hopefully this will shut up the defenders of his horrible Presidential campaign once and for all.

Or perhaps not, after all his endorsement of ultra-RINO Dede Scuzzobama (and indignant whining when he was trashed for doing so) in that NY special election was forgotten by some of freeperdom as soon he out debated the other clowns he was running against. And then later on Todd Palin endorsed him! Ho ho ho! Suddenly he was the messiah as he was coming in 4th to Ron Paul in every primary.

Some people still love Dick Cheney so I’m sure Newt will still have his fan club. Bah!

Would President-Elect Newt still be saying this? He is a bold maverick after all!

Romney is crap but this man is no different, except he may have lost so bad as to cost us the House.

Bravo for ‘94 Newt, a pitty you’ve done nothing but ill since then.

I agree with most of that, maybe he should stick to writing books and getting government “consultation” fees

It's refreshing to see one or two Newt supporters on this board admit they were wrong about Newt and apologize for attacking those of us who warned them. It's not that shameful that many freepers were fooled by Newt, he's an extremely slick and polished public speaker (which according to his fan club was the #1 reason why he MUST be the nominee), and quite frankly the choices in 2012 all sucked, they were pretty pathetic pickings. I voted for Santorum but even he had some major problems (albeit not as bad as Newt and Rick Santorum actually believes in the stuff in the preaches)

But where are the rest of the Newt supporters? As some noted, as recently as a few days ago there were a bunch of Newt fans on here trying to drum up support for some ridiculous "draft Gingrich to replace Boehner as Speaker" effort. Being fooled by Newt is understandable, but the harsh treatment leveled at freepers who WEREN'T fooled by Newt is not. There was a time on this forum where anyone who wasn't drinking the Noooooooooooot 2012 kool-aid was viciously attacked and branded an closet Romney campaign worker, Obama supporter, troll, etc. Many of us were threatened with suspensions or outright bans if we posted any negative facts about Newt's record or pointed out his major flaws. One Newt supporter told me I was a "bad Catholic" for questioning whether Newt's newfound Catholicism was sincere and I was obligated to accept everything Newt said in public about his "Christian values" or I needed to confess to my pastor for "violating" Catholic theology (I seem to have missed the part in the Catechism of the Catholic Church that says fellow lay Catholics are infallible when it comes to faith and morals!)

Quite frankly, the behavior of the diehard Newt fans on FR during the primary season was appalling. That 2or 3 them on this thread regret it is a welcome sign. Now it would be nice to have the rest of the "President Newt Gingrich-”Our beloved republic deserves nothing less" crowd come to grips with it.

Before I accept that I’d want to know what he’s really saying, which this article doesn’t illuminate very well.

If he’s saying that many more states are likely to accept and legalize homosexual marriage, I think he’s probably right. That’s just a fact.

It has always been the case that this was a state matter. So long as the citizens of Texas and Kansas aren’t compelled to legalize it, that’s fine with me. It’s the federalist and conservative position, actually. Same with abortion, which is why Roe v. Wade was wrongly decided. These are properly state matters.

"And dumped his cancer-stricken wife to fornicate with a woman while he was STILL married."

Complete lie perpetrated by leftist media, debunked by his daughter on multiple occasions.

I proudly supported Newt and still do - even though he’s dead wrong on this.

He has 20 IQ points on every GOP candidate that ran this year. Easy. 30 on Obama.

If one doesn’t believe what Gingrich is saying, they have their head in the sand. If they want to blame someone, they can blame Hollywood not Gingrich. He is simply stating facts, it is here to stay and is not going to go away.

Do you accept homosexual sex as being normal or beneficial to society or do you oppose such absurdity?

There is a big difference between acknowledging evil exists and accepting evil as good. One can not oppose something unless one first recognizes and acknowledges it.

Regardless who is blamed those that accept evil are as complicit in evil as those actively promoting evil.

Most of you who have posted on this thread are terrible. Santorum, you are proud of that weasel. HA! I would take Newt anyday over Romney or Obama even with Newt's flaws.

It makes sense what he said and more of the report should be told- HP. The society that we live in likes this and has accepted this part of perversion. Some don't see it as that. To me, it's wrong. I will never accept it but I won't try to exterminate those who live in sin in my eyes. The republicans have failed terribly on this issue. We live in a society's of libertarian gone wild. Thank you, everyone. Most of the news people live in that style. Fashion, it's all over. This has not been under a rock.< Newt did not cause this. Blame the parents, blame the adults, blame the culture. The libs moved our society from God. Courts give them special rights, that is what he is saying it's in system. and hard to undo. ( Some of these comments are over the line- He didn't say he was for it)

Yes, as long as my state doesn't enslave human beings, who I am to tell other states they can't make it perfectly legal to buy, sell, whip, torture, and do whatever they want to their human property in states where slavery in legal? It's none of my buisness how many states legalize slavery, as long as it doesn't happen in my state! Well said, Judge Stephen A. Douglas. No doubt history will show you took the right position here with popular sovereignty.

These folks not only trust the defective moral compasses that were manufactured in Sodom, they are out to confiscate the ones that function properly. And then forcibly point them in places they don't belong.

Failing that they'll seek to destroy the compasses that won't re-orient toward hell.

Blah Blah.....Shut up Newt! You stayed in the primary race to throw the election to the establishment canidate. I’m tired of the RINO-GOP’ers telling Conservatives all the liberal political positions we have to accept. If I understand the RINO’s correctly we have to give up on Smaller Gov’t,Tax Cuts,Homosexual Marriage,Immigration, oh and Christian values. The GOP-e has got to be done away with they are dangerous traiterous fools.....

Reality check. I recall a few years ago, Rush Limbaugh got friendly to the same idea. He made similar comments. He praised Elton John and his partner repeatedly. He frequently praises Jake Tapper, who is pro gay equality. (Oh, I am against you and your ideas but I praise those who do things that I proclaim to be bad societal problems- Confusing messages) Too many in the public send the wrong messages. After Glenn Beck made his feelings known about gay marriage, I left his show.

We are not going to turn things around until we have a collision of the main ideas of a moral nation path or a path of just going along with the times that we live in. Do you see that happening!? I accept they have special rights and I don’t like it. They should never been given *special* rights. I cannot reason to it as being sound and moral because it’s a behavior choice, it is not a right which should not be protected (as a marriage) that’s my opinion. Newt and others are telling us we have to face facts, it’s not going away in the system. More states are allowing legal marriages.

In the article, if you read it, he states he is for marriage between one man and one woman. He states it's surprising after all of these years to see this happening as it is. He's right. People have used their hated against him to really bring out their true colors. Christians do not attack others and claim a high road. Please stay in focus. We got into this mess because the GOP ran a liberal who passed gay marriage into law. He should never been the candidate. We do not have a leader. I know people here hate Newt because of his past sins. But, you should not judge him or the others. We need someone to slow down the decay and who will bring God back into everyday life. Running away from God will get us all in a place of being a lost nation. The founders knew this. Our nation needs to be brought to her knees for redemption. The course we're on is not good. Most of the powerful are worn out, of a political correct character to just going along and will not surround themselves with God. Some days, it is difficult because of the attacks on God.
