Newt Gingrich said that conservatives will have to accept marriage equality after three more states this year voted to allow same sex marriage and more will likely do the same in the 2014 election.

The former Speaker of the House said he didn

Actually, Rick didn’t make most of those “injudicious statements.” He was constantly quoted out of context by Romney, Rove, Coulter, and the left wing press. And, I’m afraid, by more than a few Freepers who disliked him.

“Santorum was my guy, as well. A decent man, a true conservative, which is why the GOP establishment wanted him gone.

I never trusted Gingrich, although I much admire his glibness.”

-Ditto

Hmm...maybe you're on to something. What self respecting gay man would show up to the White House and accept a proposal from his longtime companion, wearing a ridiculously tailored ill-fitting suit with grey suede loafers?

Maybe he's just "confused".

A heterosexual man in a gay man's body.

What would a psychiatrist do?

Um, it's clear you don't have the whole "gay" thing down. Here, let me show you.

And it’s people like you whom are directly responsible for throwing the nomination to Romney, and re-electing Obama. You have no idea who I voted for - so until you do - zip the lip!

Wrong, Newt didn't fold. THE GOP has been folding and once again folded to the worst candidate possible. So, he's just telling The GOP has made up it's mind and SANTORUM folded to The GOP looong ago YET you voted for him anyway. SO YOU COULDN'T even see what was ALREADY ESTABLISHED so you had NO SIGHT for what was coming!

I have no time to waste on such ignorance and twisting of facts. I could listen to the liberal talking heads for that!

the definition of a marriage is a union between a man and a woman.

refuse to accept anything other than that.

and refuse to let the orwellians to change the definition.

God will have the last word.

Gingrich ought to go get an honorary award for causing more whiplash than any other “conservative” or “rino” on the Free Republic interweb site.

Really it depends. My wife's family are "staunch Catholics". They always vote dem.

However, we went to their house last week, and her dad brought up gay marriage (which passed in this state). Mind you, this is a retired union guy, who says roughly 3 words per week.

He was on fire about this issue. "It's unnatural", "It's wrong", "marriage has been around for thousands of years, and it was never about gays!"

And this from a guy who voted for Obama. I kept my big yapper shut. I'd never seen this mild-mannered guy so worked up about an issue.

Newt is correct on one account. Gay marriage opponents and "values voters" are a dying breed.

It doesn't mean we should just throw in the towel, though.

It IS hard to argue against a secular society that doesn't seem to "get" that there are REASONS, not "religious" for supporting traditional marriage.

Wish I could make my father-in-law understand that he is voting FOR gay marriage when he votes dem.

He doesn't seem to get the connection.

“Newt didn’t fold.”

Looks like he bent over pretty easily here.

Isn’t it amazing that this pimp for Fannie Mae criminals, this stooge for the open borders amnesty crowd, this suck-up to the gay mafia, somehow got so many conservatives - and FReepers - to believe he was somehow one of us? I never did, and I am proud I fought this despicable fraud tooth and nail from start to finish this past cycle. Newton Leroy told me all I needed to know when he joined only 18 Rockefeller Republicans in 1978 to approve Jimmy Carter’s Department of Education. He is a big government, mastermind statist to the core, against everything we stand for: our Founding principles and Founding Morality.

I'm still trying to find out who that guy was who appeared on C-Span back in 1992-93 who made those fiery, conservative speeches.

Which Newt are we seeing in 2012?

Was he BS'ing in the '90s, or is he just some chameleon who changes with the times?

Is he just some empty suit?

A person with no core values, just a republican Bill Clinton?

Judaism teaches, “The righteous of all nations have a share in the world to come.”

The Seven Laws of the Children of Noah specifically prohibit homosexual sex acts.

The Talmud goes further, noting that non-Jewish societies are given credit for observing all of God’s Seven Laws if they meet three conditions, one of which is that they do not recognize homosexual ‘marriage’.

(The others are respecting the Torah and prohibiting the sale of human tissue.)

Romans 2 12-16 “For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.

For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus.”

*IOW if we have the law written universally in our hearts we all have a sort of spiritual DNA. Alter physical DNA and you get physical deformities and birth defects. Alter spiritual DNA...try to supplant God's natural law with your own, and you get recognizable spiritual "mutations" and "birth defects"...and I wonder if that is the real penalty of sin. Perhaps the idea of "becoming perfect" to enter the kingdom of heaven, has less to do with affecting our own change, but more to the point simply not messing around with God's plan, and it is faith that reboots our original programming? hmmm*
