damn right.

Those on the left will never point out their failure and their failed social engineering, they wanted the break up of the traditional family, give all a medal, tell kids they were equal, raise boys as fairies, never prep them for failure in the real world etc and you;re right.

Those elected officials see the gun as an easy picking, delect attec]ntion away from their failed social policies

Course there will be those who disagree because they are art of the problem and know deep down they are adding to the problem today .

Speaking to his troops at a closed-door meeting in the Capitol, Boehner...

Always closed-door sessions with this guy. He's about as transparent as a brick wall.

I have a handy-dandy headline ready for every story about Boehner.

“As expected, Boehner folds on...”

Add today’s issue on at the end, and PRESTO...

Just wish some intelligence would win out.
There is not a thing that could have turned out different with more restrictions or laws in this event.
Obomooo mentioned gun sales, but the kid stole the guns which already is illegal.
He murdered his mother to get them, murder is already illegal.
Then he went to a school in a gun free zone where it is already illegal to possess a gun.

So what they are really saying is, “If guns didn’t exist..”

Meanwhile, they get protected by.. guns.
Hypocrites.

yea strange how these people want to ban guns but have body guards etc who protect them with guns.

Yet again do what I say and not what I do by th eleft.

I honestly hate the left, their ignorance and hypocrisy pisses me off to no end.

Kristinn, thank you for reminding us of the role of Free Republic in the Clinton impeachment.

Every form of communication has its pros and cons. However, it is a matter of historical fact that Free Republic not only helped get Clinton impeached but also managed to destroy the efforts of 60 Minutes to destroy George W. Bush. If that isn't positive proof of the power of “crowdsourcing,” I don't know what is.

Let me give an example of how I promote the effectiveness of Free Republic in places where it's not known.

In my ecclesiastical world, there are still significant numbers of important people who think internet discussions are wastes of time that accomplish very little and reach very few people. Those statements tend to come people in their fifties or sixties or older who are in two categories:

1) pastors of large churches who aren't very computer-literate, who still write in longhand or use secretaries for dictation, and who have staff members doing research for them rather than using the internet regularly, or

2) professors in colleges or seminaries with major reputations as well-known authors but who don't like the personal bitterness and lack of factual accuracy in lots of things posted online.

Despite their aversion to the internet, these people are generally solid conservatives both theologically and politically. When I hear people saying such things, I cite Free Republic and several other conservative and liberal websites as examples of how internet discussions make a major difference.

It's pretty hard to argue that Free Republic was not a key factor in the Clinton impeachment and exposing 60 Minutes’ effort based on forged documents to claim Bush had gone AWOL. That's serious impact, in my view.

Free Republic changed history twice on major issues. It's done so in many other lesser-known ways as well.

No means of communication is perfect, but let's be thankful the internet has made it possible for “little guys” to take on the big dogs.

To those wondering what Clinton impeachment had to do with Boehner and guns, the answer is nothing. Please ignore my last post. It was on the wrong thread.

Admin Moderator, can you pull this off this thread? It was intended to go here, where I've now posted it...

To: lowbridge; All
I hope Boehner has been misunderstood. This looks pretty bad.

If not, okay, let's have a discussion.

Let's discuss whether Boehner has gone mad. In my community, most **DEMOCRATS** would be annoyed if a local Democratic elected official said something like this.

Then, let's discuss whether to make Boehner write the Second Amendment 100 times on a chalkboard in front of the Capitol, and follow it up by retyping the recent Supreme Court decision on gun ownership being an individual right before he posts it on his congressional website.

This is crazy stuff coming from a Republican. Gun rights and the Second Amendment are core issues for Republicans, aren't they?

Or maybe the Second Amendment is like abortion and other social conservative issues which are “divisive” and on which we need to stop driving away moderates who might want to vote Republican. After all, we do know social issues reflect a radical right wing minority view that loses elections, right? (/sarc)

All gun owners should have these. They could influence the behavior of both criminals and neighbors.

Boehner’s “discussion” should begin and end with the text of U.S. Const. Amend. II.

If you want to change a Constitutional right? Change the Constitution. It’s that simple.

HA HA , I have this new old guy neighbor from CT, he moved down here and hates guns, moans about trees, , fox, racoons, any kind of wild life, hell he wants the county to give him paths, street lights but moans about taxes.

He said the other day he would never have a gun when I said shoot te critter if he;s digging up your new grass all the time and he replied he;d neevr have a gun, hates guns, even when I said shoot with a pellet gun he said he hated them too.

Why he;s even moved south is beyond me but that sign is brilliant and I might put one up myself and see what he has to say

“Boehner, what part of “Shall not be infringed” is so damned hard to understand?”

The constitution means almost as little to that Federal tyrant as it does to the democrats. He can no more understand the word No to more power than he can see the obvious fact that this Massacre was a result of Gun control not for lack of it.

That had Washington not disarmed the teachers & printable them defenseless children need not have been left to the mercy of the criminal nut-jobs of our population.

“The question I have is, who would replace Boehner as speaker?”

I nominate my Mickey, having no speaker is better than having Boehner. Washington politicians serve only to grow their own power at the expense of our pocket books and most importantly our liberty.

They acknowledged no limits upon their tyrannical power, and every day they are in secession our rights, liberty’s, and pursuit of happiness is at perpetual threat.

For the love of liberty SHUT DOWN THAT LAWLESS GOVERNMENT!

It seems like Boehner and the state of OH want to go down in history as the state that did the most to destroy the Republican Party. We know that a Republican candidate for president has never been elected without OH.

By the time the Old South became Republican, the party had practically ceased to be as a national force.
