Sounds like a blacklist to me.
Somehow the libtards have insisted that it was so wrong to do when the public widely supported shutting out Communist Party USA members from the entertainment spotlight. Even WITH the supposed blacklist, there was circumvention by those in the know who ran with phony credits to keep the Commies working.
Being in league with Stalin (AND Hitler) was something to be reviled, not held up as some sign of ideological "tolerance". Today there exists a blacklist (and a "pinklist") in Hollyweird and the news programs/periodicals never address it.
