7 to 8 million illegal immigrants are thought to be holding jobs - The U-3 unemployment rate for USA born workers who have only a high school education is 10.4% - The U-6 unemployment rate for USA born workers who have only a high school education is 18.1%

The U-3 unemployment rate is the "standard" rate.

The U-6 unemployment rate counts those who want to work but have not looked recently plus those who work part time but want full time.

Of the 54.7 million working-age Americans not holding a job, more than half (27.7 million) have no education beyond high school.

According to Dr. Steven Camarota, the Center’s Director of Research:

"The president seems to believe that jobs are plentiful for less-educated Americans who compete with illegal immigrants for jobs. In fact, the employment picture for such workers remains bleak."
