Saskatoon could face human rights complaint (more War on Christmas)

The city of Saskatoon is facing the possibility of a human rights complaint after it refused to yank the “Merry Christmas” message from the top of its buses despite allegations of discrimination.

On Monday, local activist Ashu Solo vowed to take the matter to the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission, claiming the Christmas greetings violate his right to be free from religion.

He said the salutation also favours Christianity over other religions, which is particularly problematic for Saskatoon’s immigrant community, many of whom rely on bus service.

“Christmas messages on Saskatoon Transit buses make them feel like they need to convert to Christianity to be first-class citizens,” he wrote in a complaint.

---

Last spring he filed a human rights complaint objecting to a city councillor offering a Christian prayer during a volunteer appreciation banquet that was organized through the mayor’s office.

So the immigrant community comes there for a better life and then has the audacity to complain about the Christian culture that provides that better life?

Just wondering if these immigrants are perhaps of the child-boinking prophet worshiping group?

If so, there is a place that better fits their philosophy and life stile - it’s called the 14th century.

No one asked Mr. Solo to move to Canada. He invited himself.

If the culture of the natives offends him...he's free to buy a ticket home.

Better yet, they should buy one for him.

Make him an offer he can't refuse.

Ashu could always leave the Christian Nation where he has RIGHTS
from YHvH and return to the Pagan country from whence he came.

This is easy!

Have the sign flash on and off at 1/4 second intervals. Tell this sphincter that when the sign is dark it's for the atheists.

There’s your problem “the immigrant community.” The British Commonwealth has some of the same problems that we have in the US as regards immigration, in that anyone from “A Commonwealth Country” (and that includes any number of shit hole “countries”) can “immigrate” to places like the UK and Canada. Just read where London is no longer a White British majority city. But give Canada more time, and they can, if they don’t get rid of the commonwealth rules, become a muzzie country. In the Silicon Valley, Indian engineers “immigrate to Canada” because it’s easier than trying to come to the US directly. Then they come into the US on a Çanadian visa which is easy to get. Britain’s colonial past is the gift that keeps on giving!

You are partly correct about the immigration rules here, but the preference for immigrants from Commonwealth countries was abolished in the 1970s. For the most part the Indian immigrants have not been a problem, because most of them are either Hindu or Sikh and have adapted well. Most of the problems are due to our home-grown activists who really don’t care about freedom for immigrants.

Well, there's Saskatchewan's first mistake.

They shouldn't have a Human Rights Commission.

How is a "Merry Christmas" marquee stopping "Saskatoon's immigrant community" from riding the bus?

Unfortunately, I fear the HRC won't ask. The rules of evidence and the laws of reason don't apply to these kangaroo courts.
