I can’t imagine what a small or medium business will go through, probably many will just shut down.

To shut down would be to surrender. The only way to respond in a principled way is to move your business to another state or in such a way that the people and government of California pay the price for their idiocy (as they also would if you shut down), but in such a way that YOU DON'T. Of course, if a business owner voted for these fools, then please ignore this message. That is all.

How can they prohibit operation and still charge a fine per day? If you can’t operate it, then your refraining from operating it is [expensive] compliance already. How can they fine you for the number of days you choose the compliance method they don’t prefer??

I’m in CA, it needs to be worse than Detroit before some get that the direction of the state is bad.

Too many on hand outs and government employee welfare to care what you do to the private sector.

IMO the private sector should slow down to survival mode as best it can for the next four years then grow when a real AMERICAN oriented President next takes office.

You are correct, I should have said: probably many will just shut down and should move to another state.

Surely this will apply to all those vehicles coming over the border from our great neighbors to the south as well.

ROTFLMAO... good one dagogo.

Exactly. They not only talk the talk but also walk the walk of belief that capitalism and business are bad.

It would be morally wrong to steal from them the chance to prove the rightness, or lack thereof, of those beliefs, especially if you suffer in the process.

With this election, in California the Dems finally got their Laboratory of Authoritarianism. The GOP can do absolutely nothing to hinder them. I hope the Dems pull out all of the stops and show the rest of the country what they're really capable of.

Right. Even if they had the will to do so, which they don't.

As a lifelong Californian, I agree. I have commented to my local rep, don’t even waste the taxpayers money by traveling to Sacramento to vote present.
Just stay away and let the Libs burn down the house.
